As follow up to my post dated May 4 (Reply to Mel) I found out who these people are.

This number belongs to THE BILLING CENTER, that's how they call themselves. They are a billing department for the physicians (some or all I don't know) that work with the BANNER GOOD SAMARITAN hospital and Emergency Room/Urgent Care.

I jusr received a bill and was able to cross reference my account with the reference numer they had left on my Voice Mail.
The business name is EMERGENCY PROFESSIONAL SERVICES PC located in Scottsdale and with phone number 480-374-7352.
They also have a website to pay online www.payyourdoctor.com/eps.

I wish they left more details in their voice mail because it really does sound like a scam or something like that. You just can't be safe enough these days.

This number keeps calling me all hours of the day and night, they were told that I am on the Do Not Call list but they keep calling anyway.

I got the same number calling me, I have never been to this type of facility, so don't be too cautious!  I work for an identity theft company and while they might be referencing the information, they could have hacked and gotten it.  Only deal with the company you went to for medical care and no outservices!!!

Just got a call from this #. The person on the other end was very rude and kept asking for my 4 year old daughter!! He said that he was calling regarding an outstanding debt that was going sent to collections. He would not give me any info about the account unless I verified my DOB, SSN and address. I refused and he got very angry with me and hung up. I called the # back and was told it was for a hospital bill that was from 6 months ago. I explained that I have never been there and don't even live in the same state as the hospital and the lady said "well we can prove otherwise so you better pay up!!" I never gave her my info and my # was blocked. This is a total scam!!

I got a call from this number and I had already paid in full directly to banner health. This number is a scam. They didn't even have the correct total that I owed. Do not pay these scammers!!

I started getting these calls after a very brief stay at Banner Good Samaritan, and also after I had paid their invoice in full.  I say "very brief" because I left of my own accord before they could do any harm.  I came with a broken joint and over the course of 12 hours they were able to move me around to two or three waiting areas, draw blood, take lots of x-rays and ct scans, but they could not get their act together when it came to pain management.  Either out of deliberate choice, blind devotion to the "policies and procedures" they were all too happy to hide behind, or an actual inability to provide pain management care, I finally realized that they were not going to manage my pain, so I left.

I got a whopping bill for this (dis)service, which I paid fully in the hopes of avoiding this kind of after-shock shenanigans, but no such luck.

I wasn't in a position to make notes from the first call I got from them, so I just called them back the next day and left a message.  Today they called me, again asking for sensitive information - DOB, etc.  I declined to provide that information and told them that I had been doing some research on their company and had come to the conclusion that they were not a legitimate operation.  Click, buzzzzz.

I'm planning to check with state and county attorneys to see whether there are any open investigations on these guys.  I won't be sending them any money in the meantime.

They left a message on my vm - actually it was an automated call.   "This is EMERGENCY PROFESSIONAL SERVICES calling for Kenneth.   Press 1 to continue."

It is possible that a Kenneth did receive medical care and used my number instead if giving his real number...

Added to blocked numbers list and hoping that's the end of it.

I received a call stating that is was an Stat Clinic urgent care facility and they needed to verify my information before they could give me any information. I told them I needed to know what is was about first because I didn't feel comfortable giving my information out. He argued that they couldn't tell me until they knew who I was. Gave me a phone and reference number to call them back at. I looked up the number and the address and company is not the same as the caller stated. That and I have never been to a Scottsdale hospital. Oh Well. No skin off my back
