WHO IS THIS

Recieved a call from this number regarding credit cards (of which I have none). I stayed on the line and when I got a representative he said:

"Hi, are you calling about the lower interest rates offer?"
"No, I recieved a call about my credit card account and I don't have one... or any."
"OK, I'll remove your name from the list then, goodbye."

I tried to call the number and got a message stating it was a voicemail account that had not been setup. The whole event seemed suspicious and I know my data was recently compromised so I'm trying to find out more...

This same thing just happened to me a couple minutes ago, i've never heard of that area code before, so i looked it up. i tried calling back because i missed the call, and it said the voice account had not been set up yet. weird.

this number called and they told me they wanted to do sexual favors with them after they tried saying i applied for a credit card . i think we need to get down to this nonsense.

I got a call today from this number, and missed the call; when I called back all it said was this voice mail has not yet been set up. This was on my cell phone; how did they get the number?

Just received a call from this number, no identifying info. Very suspicious.

I just got a call from this #, but I don't answer calls from #s I don't know....especially #s with area codes that I don't know. The name on the caller ID said "M Rodriguez". I have no clue who that is.

I just got a call from this number too and the party did not leave a message either.

I have been applying for jobs so thought that it was someone calling me back.  Am glad I found this site so that I now know it was a BOGUS phone call.  (BTW it too called my cell phone and unless I recognize the number I do not answer it.)

Its a scam in my opinion.

I just got a call from this number about lowering my interest rates. The call came in on my cell phone, and went the same as yours.
Caller - "Did you press 1 to find out about lowering your interest rates on your credit cards?"
Me - "I want to know how you got my number."
Caller - "Your bank gave it to us."
Me - "Which bank?"
Caller - "The one where your credit card is. I don't have the specific bank name."
Me - "I don't have a major credit card, so remove my number from your calling list."
Caller - Do you have debit cards?"
Me - "Why?"
Caller - "Maybe that's the bank we got your info from you snotty b****"
Then she hung up on me. Professional? No. Legit? NOT IN A MILLION YEARS!!!!

I've learned to Google those peculiar numbers, missed calls, etc.  So I found the posts here indicating the call came from a party whose intent is bogus.  
Shame on those greedy, rotten scammers!  There's always some hustler playing the public.  It is my expectation that, eons from now, only an earnest traveler in hades would locate them.

I got a call from these people as well, I missed it and tried calling back thinking maybe it was important but of course it said the voicemail isn't set up... 100% positive these are scammers!!!

I received a call from this number saying that if I hit '1' I could lower my credit card rate.  It didn't specify which credit card or say what company it was.  I googled the number and found all of the reports here.

The called today every hour on the hour trying to get information. This is a new cell phone and no legit business has the number. People like this should be Neutralized!

I just had a missed call from this number on my cell phone as well. I tried to call the number back and got the same "voicemail not set up" message. I want to know how they get your cell phone numbers.

Called me this afternoon .... 1:00 EST,,  not a working number, must be a amateur scamer/promo co. Number.

I just got a call from this number and missed it. I never pick up numbers I don't know. So, I came online to check it out on this site first. Whoever is calling is getting around. Is there any way to officially report them?
