- Pat - Massachusetts| 2 repliesI keep getting phone calls - and they don't answer - I want to know why I enrolled do not call list but still get these aggravating phone calls - what can we do to stop them, they just called twice in a row, and hung up. 480-400-1841

- unsolicited callsrec'd a call from unassigned 480-400-1841. Wanted to know if I lived in Arizona. Like I would tell a stranger where I lived?
- Caller: unassigned
- JimPerson did ask for my wife. Line was scratchy and person hard to understand. Twice I asked him if I could help him. Then he says "Can you hear me now?" I said, " I have asked you twice if I could help...." The phone hung up. I tried to callback and got a recording that no one was available to take my call.
- Caller: Did not id the company name
- KatieCalled my 14 year old daughter's phone, she brought it to me to answer. Asked for "Kristina" & I told him he had the wrong number. Then he wanted to know my name, I refused & tried to explain again that he had the wrong number, he hung up on me. Rude [***]....
- Caller: ??
- BillCaller ID showed "Unassigned" - but I decided to answer anyhow as I am retired and easily entertained.
A man with an accent asked for me by my first name, then started talking.
However, his phone (or computer microphone) kept breaking up so bad that I could not understand his pitch.
I did get something about a credit card number however.
There were also 'boiler room' noises in the background that kept cutting in and out.
When I told him he was breaking up, he tried several more times, then gave up.
I still don't know what the deal is.
However - I assume it is a credit scam because a legitimate caller would not be using unassigned phone number and using my first name.- Caller: Unassigned
- PriyancaI just received a call from this number. I could tell he was an Asian man from his accent. He asked for a guy named Buck and I said he had the wrong number. He read my number back to me and I said he dialed the right number but I am clearly not Buck. He then wanted to confirm I was from Illinois. I told him yes, even though I live in Missouri. He then started talking about job opportunities in the area and I played along. He was saying I could make $30,000 a year doing 15 min of work online. When I asked for the name of the business or company, he never answered. He then started rambling on about visa and mastercards. He kept asking if I had one and I said no, even though I did. He kept asking several times saying my number was matched with a visa. I asked him to read all the info for my number and then he hung up on me. Pretty shady if you ask me.

- portlandia911Called my cell phone today around 4:15pm while I was sitting at my desk working, at a job I have no intentions of leaving. A woman asked for me by my first name and said her name was Grace from Express Builders. She said I'd expressed in the past I was interested in making additional income and that there was an opportunity in the area where I could make an additional $2000-$3000/mo while I work from home. Right after I said, "I'm not sure where you got this information as I have a current full time job I have no intentions of leaving." the person hung up without saying a thing. That sounds sketchy to me!!! I wonder how many private questions they would have tried to get me to answer and failed. My phone says the call is from Arizona.

- VanessaReceived a call a few minutes ago. A lady started out by rambling something about Visa something credit card. I could barely hear the person on the call due to loud static. The person called me by my first name and said that I inquired about a position working from home. She wanted to know if I was still in the Chicago area at.....she stopped talking to see if i would fill in the blanks with my address. I told her to give me her number or to call me back. She disconnected the call.

- Suzee| 1 replyScammers calling. Waste their time, if you wish. They will probably call back. Don't bother trying to explain you're on the Do Not Call List, they're criminals for cryin' out loud.
Add their phone number to your cellphone's contact list. Call the contact "Spam." Set this contact to go directly to voicemail without ringing your phone. Add new scammers numbers to the Spam contact whenever you get them.- Caller: Scammers

- NicoleThese people have called us nonstop and they are unbelievably rude - I asked them how they got my information and they screamed profanity at us and hung up. They called again and I asked that they please remove my number from their list and they repeated the same screaming profanity. If they call me again I will call the police and sue this "express builders" or whatever scam they are, especially for harassment. DO NOT GIVE ANSWER CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER OR GIVE THEM ANY INFO - THEY ARE A SCAM.
- Caller: Espress Builders
- Bill replies to Pat - MassachusettsYou enrolled for DNC to prevent 'legitimate' U.S. telemarketers from calling you.
These callers are criminals to begin with - and almost certainly calling via internet from overseas. - JohnVery likely a spam telemarketer. They did not leave a message.
I added the number to the "Ignore This Call" contact in my address book. It has a silent ringtone. :)- Call type: Telemarketer
