Called and claimed to be "affiliated" with the company that is handling my merchant services (credit cards).

Problem is, we don't take credit cards and never have. When I pointed this out, caller hung up.

When I tired to call back, call went to a V.m. stating that no one is available to take my call.

These people called saying they were affiliated with our credit card merchant account. They continue to call even though they have been told we are not interested.

Call several times a day and just hang up when I answer

They called and left a voice message claiming to be with a company name no one could understand and affiliated with Avalon Payment Services that 'handles the merchant account' -- I assume they mean credit cards.

However, in the 20 years in business we've never accepted credit card payments and never will.

The caller ID number was 480-498-3508 yet their voice message asked that we call them back at 888-664-4469 extension xxxx.

Searching my favorite search engine, the 888-664-4469 number comes up as Eswype Servicces.

Just received a call from 480-498-3508. Caller ID said ESWYE. Calling about rates going up on credit cards. Wants owner to call back 888 664 4469. We get these type of calls about every 6 mos.

Received Voice Mail from the 480-498-3508 - Said it was "Lorraine" calling and asked "Are you the person responsible for credit card processing." ... and that was the entire message! No other information provided.  I'm glad there are sites like this one available for checking out these numbers.  I think I'll go put that 888 number into my Fax Machine and run a blank piece of paper through it :) ... it will call 10-times before giving up.  It's just my little way of giving back.
