This number called our business today at 1013 hours.  The caller ID said "Phoenix AZ" so I knew there was a 99% chance of it being a scam artist.  An illegal, idiot recording began without my speaking.  "Mark" said he was sorry he missed us (huh???) and claimed he was looking for a reliable merchant who did heating and air conditioning because he had "leads" on customers he wanted to send our way.  Riiiiight.  And I've got a bridge I want to sell you, "Mark."  I blocked our number and called the number that "Mark" said in the message which also matched the number on the caller ID.  Naturally, the call went straight to voicemail which identified the guy as "Mark Wilson" but, again, did not identify the company.  I was told to leave my contact info if I was calling about "merchant services leads."  I left a different sort of message.  As "Mark" never identified any company and his robo-message was not in compliance with FCC laws I must conclude that "Mark" is a scam artist.

How wide is the Bridge? Just kidding. I just got a couple of calls like you, so I am glad I looked up your post. Kevin.(that's my real name). P.S. I'm thinking a salesman.

Kalamazoo, MI--I also received that recorded message and want to know what to do about such solicitaions that claim the caller has business to farm out to me if I am able to handle it.

Apparently Mark has now branched out to extra online marketing leads.

What a guy.  He's a good Samaritan who gets random calls from strangers looking for help and he just wants to pass them on to any random business he can find.

Seriously though, this is getting ridiculous.  I get 2-3 auto dialer solicitations every day.

There should be criminal prosecution.

"Mark" called this morning, saying he had SEO Marketing leads for me.

Man, this guy is really into everything.

I blocked his lieing ass.

"Mark" called and said "sorry he missed us" yet he is on the phone. Asking if our company did SEO Marketing and could take some leads

Mark  called  and said he's  looking for a reliable carpet cleaning company that can handle extra work. Lol.

"Mark" called us wanting to pass off some clients needing Search Engine marketing.  LOL

We just received the "Mark" recording-- we're "sorry he missed us", too (what??), SEO leads... SCAM for sure.

Got this call too.  Sure, Mark, we can handle your search marketing clients. Send them along. : /

Turned off voice mail so I have enough time to check the number here first, then I hit the big red 'BLOCK NOW' button and they are history. Having a call blocker is soooo liberating. I wield it like a sword that's cutting telemarketers in half.

I guess I'll have to fight you for those leads Joe! I got the same call today :)

Mark called and said he wanted to do my wife doggy style and that he would send me 300 lbs of hemp if I wanted.

I was like da hell? Mark?

He proceeded to say I had 4 minutes to live and if I hang up, a kitten will die.

To my surprise, I hung up and 5 minutes later, my neighbors cat died.

Mark is indeed an alien.

I did the exact same thing.  Mark (who's a recorded voice) is now BLOCKED!

I left him a message. "Stop scamming people douchbag" ... Hope he gets back to me... Hahaha

I got the same voice mail from 'Mark' this evening. He wanted to know if I did SEO and if I wanted any of his overflow customers. Didn't bother to call back.
