Woman named "judy stifal" & ext ....Called a business - and left message "need you to give us a call.." 800-836-6958
Gas is paid by owner .. So no account

I've been getting these calls from a Cindy Chavez for the last month, almost daily. She's been calling my office number. I did call back and she tried to tell me that PG&E was deregulated and that by signingup with them (IKON) was the name of the natural gas supplier, that I'd be getting better rates than PG&E. Being very cynical, I asked quiestions. She then put her manager on the phone for the hard sell. I told them I'd call them back. She called again today and said "you were supposed to call us back". I smell BS!!!! I need to call PG&E and find out. I can't find a google info on em! Beware! I'm located in Sacramento CA

I received a message to my cell phone from a "Judy Rivera" calling from Verizon Energy Company. Naturally, I was suspicious about that and when I returned the call the operator answered with a completely different company name. Obviously, they wanted to make me think I was calling Verizon about my account. The operator said she was out and if I wanted to leave a message. I asked the operator if she knew what the call was about and she said no, she was an operator for the building and didn't know about the individual businesses there.

Sudbury, MA

From the posts I have been reading and the call I received, it appears they change their sales pitch, depending who they are calling to make it sound real. Just beware.

Got a ring and then a hangup once our automated attendant at my business answered. I called back and then got transferred. Guy said he was calling about our "Columbia Gas account". I told him I don't and never had gas. He said he was sorry and that they probably got the wrong number.

I too smell some sort of scam...
