Robocall with the usual Google listing scam.

Robocall Arizona call (caller ID)  some crap about Google listing is about to expire.

Please make this number quit calling my business.  The number it is showing you cannot call back.  How is it legal for them to call me and leave me with no way to call them back???

AZ, USA. This number is a google listing call I get this number calling me about 3 times a week! It's crazy!

robo fake google scam. call is reported as prank since scam is not an available choice.

The google impersonators are desperately trying to scam more people by changing their number.

I've got these calls before, but it has been awhile since the last one - several months in fact. Previously when I was getting these calls regularly, I called Google's coporate HQ, and I spoke to someone way up the ladder there in reference to these calls...

This person (at Google) told me that Google is not behind these calls, and knew nothing about them, and didn't authorize the use of the Google name for telemarketing purposes of any kind...

I was advised to ignore these calls - which of course I've been doing. And I would advise anyone else to do the same...

This obviously some kind of scam...

Follow Up...In the past they've used the 503 and I think the 305 and other area codes. It's likely they're spoofing legitimate numbers, and no doubt using Caller ID spoofing to do so...

One call I got some months ago was from an area code in South Carolina. I called the number and a nice elderly egentelman answered - the number came back to a private residence in Charleston. I spoke at length with the gentelman and he said he had been bombarded with calls from people complaining about the robo calls...

I advised him to report the matter to the local telephone company there, and to the local police - that since he had got death threats he told me...

Whoever is behind these calls are nothing more than a bunch of low-life gutter scum!

I've already established (reference my prior post) that Google is not behind these calls, and knows nothing about or has in any way whatsoever authorized their name to be used...

If you don't have Caller ID, get it - it'll pay for itself!

Robo call.  Update Google listing.  many different numbers being used. Back to back calls.  Other number was 858-858-5632

One of many calls received, from over 80 different phone numbers, over the last two months.  Our number had belonged to a business.   We have had it for two years and the calls never stop.  We only answer if it is someone we know or from an area codes.within a 50 mile radius.  Putting the number on a do not call list means absolutely nothing.  We are on both the Federal and our State's lists.  We even receive text messages about our Google account.  We are retirered and have never owned a business.  Best advice is only answer if it is someone you know.

Because our government sucks and doesn't give a [***] about us, that's how.
