They don't answer right away when you pick up because the auto machine calling you has to alert the person that you actually picked up the phone.
They've called me before with numbers that didn't show up and now they use some weird routing thing so it's a U.S. number.

Same here, I keep getting calls from this number (480-707-4007). Additionally, they have used other numbers, including restricted or unavailable. Does anyone know what's up? There is a scam that when an un-identified number calls you and you pick up, there is a $9.00 fee per month on you wireless bill under data. This was on a verizon bill.

GE Money they are like vultures if your 3 < days late they will call you 7 times a day even on sunday to collect. Its pathetic!!

Oh my god...I thought I was the only one dealing with them. They're AWFUL. They really do call 10 times a day if you're a few days late. I actually had an argument with one of the guys who called me. They consistently call at 5:00 am (I'm in Arizona), and when I told him that Arizona is 3 hours behind East Coast time he told me I was lying. He then "asked his friend" if Arizona time is different from Eastern time, and his "friend" also said I was making it up. Ugh. I turn off my phone at night now, or else they wake me up in the morning.

One more thing-

I'm assuming anyone living in Arizona who gets these calls gets them promptly at 8:00 am...the only reason why I get their phone calls at 5:00 am ( 8:00 am East Coast time) is because I have an East Coast area code. Does anybody else have this problem?

Rediculous, called me then about 5 min later called again. How's a guy supposed to freakin have sex without being interupted?

They've called us one time the day before the bill was due to remind us our payment was due the next day.  Right now they are calling several times a day as usual eventhough payment has already been made.

What bill did you have if you don't mind me asking.  I keep getting calls from this number and my wife as well.  You speak of bills and I don't have anything that would be related to these vultures.  I put my phone on vibrate or silent because I sleep during the day.

Please stop calling.  I have no clue who this is but would like the harrassment to stop!

This number has called and so has other numbers for GE Money Bank. The lady with poor english told me we haven't been paying our bill and I asked her why ge money bank showed up on every bank statement on the 20th of every month. She put me on hold and said that was for 2 automatic payments I set up. I then asked her why it has been happening the last 8 months? She told me I would be charged a $40 late fee if I didn't pay and that was on the 6th and our payments are not due until the 21st of the month and they auto deduct on the 20th. There were two payments in June because my husband answered and they tricked him into paying. We are not past due and we always pay on time. This is the biggest and worst scammer company ever! I will never purchase anything from J. Fosters or anywhere else if the financing is through GE Money.

So pathetic I owe $100 on my GE money bill and work for GE and it is so sad to say I am part of GE when people are getting harrased by people from India and get called up to 10 times in one day to pay their bill when you are only like 2-3 days past due. They call from many different numbers too they are from all different states too, I have gotten calls that said Arizona, New Jersey, and various other states. REDICULOUS

it's ge money.  GE money hires platoons of caller who only half-know what they're doing, and they bomb you with calls.  the callers 1) don't know what the time zone is; 2) often don't know good english;  3) often don't know or care that you have made your payment (when they look it up, they still get it wrong).  GE money just carpet bombs whole groups of people knowing that the inaccuracy rate is very high.  since it's cheaper that wya, and no one calls them on it, they keep doing it.  meanwhile fat cats pull in 7 and 8 figure annual cash.

This number bagan calling my cell phone at 8am yesterday (I live in Arizona).  Since then I have had 7 calls from this number and no messages left.  I have no idea who GE Money is or why they would be calling me.  I will be blocking this number soon if these calls continue. I believe this constitutes harrassment and is probably illegal.

Yesterday, about 10 minutes after the technician finished installing the phone at my new house, I got a call from these guys.  The lady asked for someone named George.  I told her that no one named George lived in my home and asked her to remove my number from her calling list.  After she insisted that George must live in my home because this is the number he gave, I told her that I had just been assigned my number and that it was possible that someone named George had the number before me.  When she didn't believe me, the cable guy told her that he had indeed just installed my phone and assigned me the number she called.  Still didn't believe us, and started yelling, so I hung up.  The technician and I had a good laugh about it afterwards.

Is there any way to block these calls?? They call under "Unavailable," "No ID," "Restricted," and the 480 number. I'm going to go insane soon. Is it possible to block unavailable calls?

The only way to stop them that I know...is to write them a letter. You have to tell them that they are no longer authorized to call your home and all communication must be done in written form. Send the letter to the credit card company that GE MoneyBank is handling the funds for. Such as Credit Care, Pay Pal, or Kohls. Once they receive it they can no longer call. I would send it priority mail with confirmation delivery just to be sure and have a record it did arrive.

Only problem with that -

GE Money will remove your mailing address from YOUR ACCOUNT records.  They did it to me in 2007 while at the same time posted fraudulent charges to my account.  They claimed it was removed in error during database clean-up!  Yeah Right and I am supposed to believe that!

Funny thing - I have read all the horror stories about their collection calls - THEY NEVER CALLED ME AT ALL!  

Imagine my surprise when I get a call from a collection agency telling me my JCP account was in default!  

Of course - GEMB refused to deal with it and I had to file complaints with the FTC and Office of Thrift Supervision - and THEY HAD TO FIX THEIR PROBLEMS!

I'm on the East Coast and get calls from 8am-9pm. They must have you programmed in under the wrong time zone.It is definitely GE.
