just received call fromabove number from merchant services reference that our # has been changed, sounds kind a fishy young lady identified herself as Alexis Small, sounds like scam

just got a call from Jamie Strickland, said she was from Exchelon Merchant Services.  she told me my risk matrix went from high to low, and i am now eligible for Tier 2 rates.  she told me that VISA lowered my risk on November 17th and that i should probably expect to be contacted by other credit card carriers.  when i called her back, a guy by the name Terry answered and when asked what company this was he said Merchant Services, not Exchelon.  she also told me that i could save 40% on my CC transactions.  i got suspicious because of all the other posts on the internet and told her that i do not want anyone to call on me about this...just seemed to weird.....

Got a call just like Grant did; they try to come across like they are calling from YOUR OWN cc processor when what they really are is just another telemarketer.

Echelon telemarketing call. Like for the other comments they are really good at their crap almost fall for it. Reason why telemarketing companies exist is because some idiots don't check and buy from those annoying jerk.

Received a message from Matt with Merchant Services.  Wants me to call him back about changes in my account.  Left a reference number.  Smells like a scamm.

my experience is exactly like the one from SM, my reaction is the same as well.

Britney Newby called, claiming she's from our merchant company, called merchant services. That's not even the name of our merchant company--obviously a scam/telemarketing. Gave a "merchant account #" which is also false, not matching any of our merchant numbers. Phone# she gave me to call back was 480-719-4421

When I called the # back, I did so by blocking my # first with *67.

Ms. Newby never answered her phone, so I dialed for the operator, some guy named Nick answered. I asked him to provide the legal name of their business, because it is impossible for them to be called just "Merchant Services" and must provide me a legal business name. He refused and said the only way for him to disclose any information to me is if I provide my merchant # so he can pull my file. I WASN'T BORN YESTERDAY!!! But these guys are deceiving people by claiming to be who you work with, but they're really just a TELEMARKETING SCAM! ***DO NOT PROVIDE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THEM***

This Nick guy wouldn't let me speak either--just kept talking over me and wouldn't answer any questions--even after I said I wouldn't give any of my info until he stated the legal name of the business they called me from and the true reason for their call. He still declined to give me that info--so I explained to him that I do not give my info to telemarketers and this would be reported online.

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!

Through some research on google, I found out the company name is Eschelon in Arizona (eschelonms.com)

When I called their customer service, the young girl who claimed to be a "manager" didn't care to hear how the sales department is deceiving potential clients. I tried to tell her how Nick wouldn't provide the company name, so why would I trust them to provide my company name or number? Give me a break here! Why in the world would I give you my info if you can't even tell me your company name?! This is going to be posted all over the internet.

DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFORMATION TO ANYONE WHO CALLS YOU STATING THEY ARE FROM "MERCHANT SERVICES"

Zach called. Said he was with merchant services and that there was a change to my risk management. I asked if they were my merchant services provider and he said, "No, I am from Echelon Services".  I asked him why my merchant services provider was not informing me of the changes tht he was trying to tell me about, and he said, "We are on a much higher level than your provider." I told him that if my provider didn't think I should know about it, then I didn't want to know about it. He hung up on me....

I JUST RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM THE NUMBER 480-719-4421 ZACK WAS THE MANS NAME AND HE REFUSED TO TELL ME WHY IS WAS CALLING OTHER THEN THAT IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH MY MERCHANT ACCOUNTS HE WAS RUDE AND UN UNPROFESSIONAL, WHEN I TRIED TO CALL BACK HE CONTINUED TO BE RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. HOW TO COMPANIES LIKE THIS EXPECT TO GET TO AN OWNER IF THEY DON'T GIVE THE NATURE AND REASONING OF WHY THEY NEED TO SPEAK TO THE OWNER. I CALLED BACK AND AGAIN LEFT A MESSAGE FOR THE OPERATOR TO NOT CALL US AGAIN.
