i am getting emails from a person the name  is harry simon, see want it is i put my wedding dress on craiglis  and i am getting emails from scammers.harry simon emailed me this number.  i would like to report it. the person has not called me i have not gave my phone number out.  i think that is a fake name.

I was trying to sell something on Craig's list as well and i got an email from someone named Greg Drexton saying he wanted to send me a bank draft for my item and wanted alot of personal info in return. In repsonse to my email he signed the letter from "Soto" so i'm not sure what's going on but something's shady here... He also said he's unable to call me directly because he's "hearing-in paired"... Sounds like a scammer to me! so BEWARE!

"I just receive the confirmation from the Bank,the check has been mailed via  UPS it will be delivered to your address a day from now according to the courier, the tracing number is  (  J2149790652)   but to my greatest surprise the draft was made out for $1,300 instead of the actual cost .It was claimed at the Bank that i requested for such but am very sure i only made a request for the cost of the good. I would have actually love to give you a call  immediately i was informed about this but am a deaf and only uses a hearing-in paired phone to relay .
  What you will do is that once the check is delivered to you please take it to your bank  and have it cashed,you will deduct your money plus an extra $50 to offset the cost of your extra expenses,the rest of the fund should be with you until my shipper came for the item and you can give him the remaining amount.

I forward your detail to the shipper but he insist he wants  a part/ upfront -payment before coming for the pickup. So you have to send the money to him in cash (company policy) through Western Union. I will get you the information for the transfer soon, i am sorry for any inconveniency, hope you understand. Please try to be around for the pickpup.

Then the best part, I recieved a FAKE CASHIERS CHECK in the mail, delivered UPS next day. It was made out for $1250, hand written, and cashiers checks or money orders are printed out, not hand written. No routing number or anything. I got this:


"Send the remaining money in cash, the shipper insist (he is Old-fashion) to this name and address via western union money transfer. I will like you to do this first thing this morning. So that my Mover can come for the pick-up by tomorrow.

NAME:  Peggy Sue mcclellan
ADDRESS:  100 Mcginnis Dr, Wayne WV 25570.
I will need the details of the transfer once you have sent money in cash . . .
1.The Reference number that is the 10 digits number on the western union receipt
2.Sender's name and address used in sending the money
3.Actual amount sent.
Please pay off the Western Union charges from the remaining fund after
you must have deducted your money and the $50 that is to cover the
cost of your run around.

I also just recieved the same email but from kelly rowland word for word. This person is for sure up to no good. Have you heard anything else from this person. I thought the email seemed weird because the first one i recieved was an 1 hour behind us and then the second email was 4 hours ahead of us. Thanks for the heads up!!

I have had the same deal with Kelly Rowland, for an item on Craigslist, the bank made a 1000% mistake, ten times the cost amount. I knew it was a scam.

Hi lacy had an  ad on craigs list for motor and parts and got the exact same email  got leary and cked on internet and found this site. will notify craigs list and hope others are as aware of fraud.

I was very leary and typed in this number on computer and found all the blogs people beware.

My husband called that phone number just to see what it said because I was leary, it had been disconnected. So that is why I googled it and this website is the first that came up. I then sent the scammer an e-mail saying (clean version) back off scammer, I'm  on to you! And they have not sent me another e-mail.
Ok, also, I may be the only one who noticed this because I took Sign Language back in high school, but if the person really was "Hearing Impaired" I think that they would be able to spell it? It is not spelled "hearing-in paired", it is "hearing impaired" ....

I got the same scam today!

I responded to this slimball telling him he was a scammer and to not contact me further.

I also sent him the url to this site, and hopefully if he is at least a half-wit, he will stop.

IF ANYONE READING THESE POSTS KNOWS HOW TO REPORT THESE SCAMS AND A WAY TO FOWARD OUR EMAIL FROM HIM TO GET HIM TRACKED DOWN FOR PROSECUTION, PLEASE POST IT HERE.

This slimeball has probably stolen several thousands of dollars from the unsuspecting and elderly, and has got to be held accountable.
