NETSPEND ALERT: YOUR CARD HAS BEEN DEACTIVATED, this is the text I am recieving from this company.

I just got the same text. Its not my bank. I wouldn't enter my card # in if I were you.

Yeah I just got this same thing it has to be a scam.

I got the same message on 2 phones with the same first 3 digits of the number (Besides the area code).

Just got same message with same card # start.  Reported to Verizon

All three family members with verizon just received this text message....we dont have cards with this number  SCAM>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>SCAM>>>>>>>>>>>>>.

Just had the same thing sent to me three times.  I will be reporting this to Verizon also.

I just got it 2 times 7/10/10 745 pm and 845pm

I too received this bogus phishing scam text.  I kept trying to call from Skype to see what was up and maybe play a prank on them.  The number shows up as a 011 international call because it is a VOIP call from an outbound call only service.  The call kept ending after 1-6 rings.  My guess is they kept hanging up on me because of fear of being caught running a scam...

Many card numbers start with the same set of 4 digits. They have a good chance of bring accurate using those 4 digits. Most don't realize when reference to a certain card is made, they refer to that cards LAST 4 DIGITS.

Same as the rest. Stopped at Verizon to report. They did not know what to do. To busy selling stuff.

Husband and I have to differenent cell phones and we both got the NETSPEND ALERT.  It is strange with Alltell for 10 years and never got this "stuff" now that Verizon took over we get this garbage.  Wonder how much Nerizon made for selling our numbers? Anyone know?

Just showed on my cell and did so about 10 months ago. My kids tell me this is a big scam so please don't send in the number. I went to bank to use my card and of course it still worked.
Who is behind this?
