Michael12 May 2008- I figure people like this will never honor the do not call list. They call me under all sorts of pretenses. Here is what I do about it: I subscribed to Packet 8 voice-over-internet phone service... also known as 8x8. Its unlimited calling for you know, around 25/mo. When I got it I didn't know they had a few tricks up their sleeve for annoying callers. On their website there is a page where you can block incoming calls. Well, some of these telemarketers have bought HUGE blocks of phone numbers. I spent 3 hours one day blocking 300 numbers from these fruitcakes, but it was worth it. I have never heard from them again. Now all they get when they call my number is a BUSY SIGNAL! hahah Screw those guys. They think the number is just busy but I will never answer it. They can't ever get my voice mail now. The trouble is, some of these organizations probably buy thousands of numbers. I will block every one of them if I have to. See ya.
- I had just gotten Phone Power telephone service(voice over internet Phone) I had a problem with telemarketers that were calling every 20 minutes which I was able to block through my phone service so that they get a busy signal. You can view a phone log on your account and they had been calling for 3 days straight every 20 minutes then finally gave up when they kept getting the busy signal. It is just ridiculous how they harass you.
- I'm getting sometimes 3 or 4 calls a day from this number. I called the police, who just told me I should change my number (which I don't want to do after using it for 5 years). My only concern about blocking this number is that it might be a legitimate calling card number. Any chance of this? How do I find out? You gotta wonder what the motivation is for someone to do this. They don't wait long enough to ask a question. Could it be some kind of telephone company warfare? I know... conspiracy theory... but it's the most logical reason I can think of. Why else?

- Hey, the only way to make this people stop is to play their own game. If they call trying to confirm your name, it is because the number they call is in the internet with a name associated with it (type your number in a search and you will see). Just play the game and do not confirm any information they ask for. Also, try to answer as a restaurant or a place of business. That will confuse the heck out of them. In addition, if you answer the phone and you hear Spanish, just listen for a little and you will see how they will get angry. The bottom line is to remain calm and play the reverse psychology game. I think you will enjoy it more than they will.
- Well the number actually left a very long msg...it's scary...it was a little kid making sexual noises & talking t0o low where I could not understand what he was saying...in the background they are speaking spanish and I hear them talking among themselves also whispering...there was sexual noises in background getting louder...the person said it loud and clear in English "we come in peace" - then the kid starts whistling and making more noises...a woman in the background asks in spanish - how are we going to pay for this? they laugh and kid still in background making very odd and disturbing noises/sounds...then the message ended...
- Had a lady today. And she was speaking in spanish. And I dont much spanish. But I know how to say "yes and mama" in spanish. No I idea how to spell it. But after I was talking to her, she hung called. I called back and the # was no longer in service... I wanted to mess with them sooo bad. But that bi*tch hung up.
