My cell phone shows that I have gotten 7 cold calls from this number over the past two months.
Today, I answered the most recent call. The caller immediately asked, "My I speak to the owner of the company?"
When, laughing, I replied, "My I ask who's calling?" he hung up on me.
So I tried calling the number back, but there was no identifying information on the recording that replied.
If I pressed 0 for the operator, the system would automatically hang up on me.

    The DO Call List
Apparently I am on the DO Call list, rather than the Do-Not list.  The spammer called and asked to speak to the owner. I asked her if she knew the name of the person she wanted to speak to so that I could direct her call. (There's just me, but it's fun to mess with these idiots and waste their time.) She asked, "There's more than one?" I replied, "Do you know the name of any of them?" She said no, and I told her that I couldn't help her. But this call was the first I've gotten where they became hostile when they couldn't break through my human-firewall. She said, "Then that's a problem for you."  I had already pressed the button to disconnect the headset and didn't hear any more, but I suspect that she was about to get nasty.

For those of you who own a business and have a website and who do have legitimate concerns about your rankings on the various search engines, find a professional web developer by first looking in your local area. At least you'll have the opportunity of meeting them face to face and can judge their sincerity and get some idea of their experience. The people calling you from this number do not work for Google.

Speaking of Google, one other caveat... Google has basically got us all in a headlock. Keep in mind that they are interested in their web-existence, not yours. And currently (as of February 2014) there is NO company out there that can "guarantee" that you will rank the highest for your business and that's because the algorithms that Google uses to rank websites is often changing and arbitrarily applied. Instead, what you should do is create good content for your business website, and try to develop your brand, your reputation, and customer relationships. And stay away from the spammy tactics of these people who call you trying to get your money for "promoting" your site.

I never answer calls that I can't identify, but today I was expecting a call from the west coast. Therefore, I answered a call from this number. The response was rude.
