Robo call spam

Called. No message left.

Several calls yesterday and today.  Yesterday, caller ID showed B2B Support.  Today, caller ID showed Home Defense with the same phone number. 484-243-9169.  No messages.

AS  CC  noted above,  they have been calling as "Home Defense" or " B28 Support," multiple times a day now for two days.
Since I don't answer these calls I don't know if they are telemarketers or scammers; but legit they aren't.  They leave no
voice mail.

Called. No message left. I never pick up when an unfamiliar name or number calls. I come here instead! Thanks, everyone!

This number has called at least 10 times today. No message.

Robo home security - don't answer & block them

Calls during the day from different numbers, even different area codes. I always "Press 5" to be added to their Do Not Call list, but a few days later, we receive another call from a completely different number. We won't answer, and they hang up. We call back and are always told that "none of our representatives are available to take your call". They can return the call within 24 hours. We can "Press 5" to be added to their Do Not Call list, so we do that. We are on the Federal and State Do Not Call Registry, so they obviously don't pay attention to those lists.

Called 4 times today. I called it back thinking it might be for a job, but it says customer support is unavailable not and to push 5 if you want to be on there no call list. I put my cellphone number on my Monster.com profile last week. I think they are looking up numbers from there. Hopefully they won't call back anymore.

For the past week I have been receiving calls from B2B (minimum of five per day) that I did not answer and finally blocked. After I blocked them I began getting a minimum of five calls per day from home defense which I also blocked. For a couple years now I do not answer any calls that I do not know who they are unless they leave a message on my answering machine. If I receive more than two calls in a week from the same number I then block the number. I was limited in my call block ability until I got the last phone set which allows me to block 250 calls.

Calls several times every day. Leaves no message. I am on the national do not call list.

Called twice with no message, caller ID shows the call is from Conshohocken, PA. They have been blocked.

Robocall that pretends to be a real person. If you do answer, use a lot of expletives and it will hang up on you.

This is a new one for us.  I did not answer and caller ID said Home defense.  I will still not answer.

Home Defense......called ID said...................they just call and call and call and call.  I hope no one answers and all their calls are in vain.

Bozo scam call - answered and spent the entire time shouting into the phone, saying that I couldn't hear them.  They asked if there was someone else they could talk to - but I never stopped shouting that I couldn't hear them - so they hung up.  Turns out that acting like a crazy loon, or answering in another language has worked better than anything else to lessen the scam calls.  After the scammers started using different ID numbers all of the time (and blocking didn't seem to work as well) - gave out fake credit card information and fake everything else (would stop the calls for about 2 weeks).   Since nothing seems to stop the scam calls - figured that I might as well have a load of fun with the morons who call.

Left a short voice message  (...hello ..... this is Jim Thompson ... is anybody there ... ) sounded exactly like an automated response setup.
Added to the blocked number list on my phone.

It doesn't do any good to ask scammers to not call or hit 5 to be taken off their call list - they are violating the law by calling in the first place and won't take you off their "list".
It also doesn't do any good to shout or scream at an automated answer/response system - they try to interpret what you say to formulate a response, hanging up and blocking is much easier.
