This is ICM Marketing Group out of Pennsylvania.  They want to buy your time share or rent it out "for" you.  They only want $972.00 upfront to sell it.  If they rent it, you get a check from the renter; then you mail it to ICM so they can get their "marketing" fee.  I suspect you will never see that check or any money after that.   They will not stop calling; will not take NO for an answer.

They just called and wanted to sell me more timeshare points, I asked how she could when she not the authorized seller.... She hung up the phone.

I've received numerous calls from this company despite my stating that I am on the "do not call" list and will report them to the government if I receive another call. It doesn't phase them. Now that I have determined where the calls are coming from, I am going to report them to the Attorney General's Office. Most of these timeshare scam companies do not have the proper licenses to engage in this type of business.

Hi I wanted to respond to this post in particular because of the date when it was filed and because I feel that it is important for any company to be transparent with their prospective clients/ customers.

Now I can't speculate as to why the call was disconnected, but I can tell you that the company itself is not selling timeshare properties, only marketing them on behalf of their clients who own time at the various resorts throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.

With that said, the company was contacting you to see if you would like to buy more points/ weeks and can do so because that is exactly what their clients have paid the company to do.

Technically speaking, there is no such thing as an "authorized seller".  Anyone who owns timeshare has the right to sell it, however selling timeshare is a very difficult thing for the average person to do and can be very time consuming.  This is exactly why the company's clients have hired them to market the property.

If you have an interest in seeing how much you can save on additional weeks/ points when compared to the retail price at the resort, give a call on the toll free line and let them know where you are looking to own more time at.  888-610-8977

If the company has one, or several matches in inventory, they can definitely present you with all of the various properties and allow you to submit a reasonable offer for what you are looking for.

It is important to keep in mind that the company only called you to see if you would like to purchase or rent more time.  If you are trying to rent-out or sell your property the company can help you, assuming that there is actually a demand for what you own, but it is not the primary motive for the call.

Simply put, the company is looking for buyers.

You are absolutely right.  Most of these companies do not have the proper licenses.  Especially the one that are scamming people.  However I can assure you that this company does have all of the proper licenses to do business in the timeshare resale industry.  

Just an FYI to people on the DNC (do not call).  Sometimes, even though you are on the DNC, if you have supplied any company your contact info (by filling a form on the web, etc.) and that company did not indicate that they will not sell your info to others, you have effectively taken yourself off of the DNC as far as that company and the company purchasing your info is concerned, by granting them permission to contact you.

It doesn't seem right, I know, but it pays to make sure that you only give permission to be contacted by companies who will not sell or share your info.

This company may have bought your info, but they do not share or sell it to others.

Steve-- sounds like you work for this company-- I know they ask if people are looking to buy or rent more t/s -- then when the potential customer/victim says of course not,  I want to sell it -- they say "oh, we can help you with that too"  ZTruth is the whole scam works like this-- they buy leads and call and pretend to look for people who want to buy more time-- and believe me 99.999% of people are looking to sell they say-- remember that we called to ask you if you wanted to buy more time -- now that we know you want to sell your t/s we will gladly take your money upfront to market it-- [***]-- they want that $995 upfront and do not care if you get a dime for your t/s-- what a scam-- I worked there-- I know what they are -- It's a boiler room-- what a scam-- disgusting

Yes, I do work for the company.  If you worked for the company like you say that you did, then you certainly did not have my job.

Your number of 99.999% is completely inaccurate as I currently have more offers to buy and rent timeshare than I can possibly sort out without a little help.  These are from the people who said, "yes I would like to buy or rent more vacation."  They don't stop pouring in either.

My job is to bring these very real offers to our clients. I do not call any of our clients unless I am bringing them an offer.  I call several of our clients per day.  I have personally brought $124,838 in rental offers in the last 3 months alone and I have the paper trail to prove it if needed.  That does not include the offers brought by my co workers in this office, or the sale offers I have personally brought to my clients.

You are right about one thing, although your percentage is way off, there are more people looking to sell than buy.  We are looking for the buyers.  That's the difference.

Your website has a link titled "BBB Accredited Business", yet the BBB states that ICM is not accredited.  That in and of itself is misleading.

What I'd like to know if this is a legit company how do they have my number they have been calling me since i recieved this brand new iPhone which has a previously unused number, I have only given my number directly to friends and family and havn't used it while filling out any forms or surveys or signing up for anything.  And i would appreciate if you can give me a way to get your company to stop calling me cause no one ever answers when i pick up the call.

That should also tell you something about the BBB.

They are scam artists.  As to those who work for the company leave people alone who really have no interest in you!!!!  That means the ones that return any mail you send unopened with a return to sender.  You are scumbags that steal until reported to the authorities then and only then do you return any money from your not living up to your responsibilities and promises.  Friends did business with them and got burned big time.  Do not trust them.

Ok...I'm glad that I decided to google this number.  Im sitting at work and my cell phone rings...the 484 number pops up.  I don't answer it.  Immediately after my work phone rings...same number so I pick up...the guys say oh I'm sorry I have the wrong number....but you just called my cell and now my job but its the wrong number RIGHT!!  Very annoying to say the least.  I do own a timeshare, just upgraded it as a matter of fact, I'm not looking to do rent, sell, trade or anything I"M HAPPY with my timeshare but they will not stop calling!
