This person keeps calling and hangs up when we answer.

This number called twice today! First time I left it goto voicemail and it hung up right away. Later that evening when it called I picked up and it hung up right away once again! When you call the number back the recording states that the number is no longer in service.
My thoughts: This may be a computer set up to figure out what phone numbers are active and what numbers are connected to a fax machine. They use this info to sell to companies to send un-wanted telemarket calls and faxes. ie: inforusa.com or faxblast.com
I have had many issues with them in the past selling my number. I would get faxes at all hours of the night to a phone line which was my home phone number.

If anyone obtains additional info I would be greatful if you could pass it on to me!

Received two calls from this phone number 484-548-6400 within space of half an hour.

Same here....called twice, hang up. Phone number out of service when I call back.

They called me twice in the last hour.  It is very annoying.  I run to the phone but do not answer.

This number called my phone as well. Twice yesterday and once today. No one is on the other line when answering. Upon call back it states the number is disconnected?

Same deal as everyone, calls several times a day and I never answer the phone.  Thanks to websites like this I can verify what I already presumed was the case.

They called me twice today again.  The first time I just answered and yelled "WHAT?"  No response.  The second time I ran in from outside and answered after several rings.  They said that they were calling from some college (maybe Albright or Upright or something with a "U").  Anyway, I guess I should have listened, but I did not.  I told them to stop calling me that I don't appreciate it at all and I have no interest in any college.  And then i hung up.  Hope that helps someone and I hope that they follow my request.

Have also been getting these annoying phone calls day after day.  Caller ID is wonderful and since it has been coming up with "Unkown name", I just let it go to my answering machine.  I figure if it's important, they will leave a message.  No one ever leaves a message - go figure!  My husband got annoyed by the constant barrage of calls every day and finally picked up the call.  He waited about 10 seconds and then someone picked up and said that they were doing a survey from a university.  He then told the woman that he wasn't interested and to stop calling our number.  Doubt they will stop calling, but will keep you informed.  Glad to find this site and see so many other people have been just as annoyed from someone at this number.

I called the ATX number listed above and talked to a friendly rep (Bill) who at least took the time to listen to the situation.  Here's hoping something gets done to resolve these annoying hourly calls.

I got called twice from 484-548-6400 and the 2nd time I waited about 20 seconds and it was a recorded political ad for a Bucks Co, PA election race.  I guess it's considered 'free speech' by the courts, I think it's annoying and believe I should be able to opt out.

I hate this loop hole in the DO NOT CALL law :-(

Just got this phone call at 7:50 pm. Called 2x and both times I answered they hang up. I called the number and recording tells me AT501 I reached a number that is no longer in service.
How can that be?

Keep getting these and no one is on the other end of the call.  Then they hang up.  Weird.

Same results as everyone else. Calls from this number and they don't answer in about 10 seconds. Even if it is a political call they should be able to speak and not just leave dead air!!
