Company claims to be software sales

Just got a call from this guy saying he needed to fix my software in my computer. He kept trying to get me to turn on my computer and then wanted me to follow his instructions on how to do this. I told him I thought it was a scam and he gave a feeble attempt to try to prove he was telling the truth by mentioning a clsid number or whatever. I refused to even turn on my computer and when I said again I thought it was a scam he simply hung up. I thought it was a guy in Nigeria doing this (by his accent he sounded a bit like he would be form India though) but it surprises me that he might actually be here in PA! Creepy!

Similar to above report.  Man said he was from a company which wasn't Microsoft, but as though he was somehow working on behalf of them.  He insinuated that the call was in regards to a Windows computer problem.  I asked him to repeat what he initially announced himself as and the purpose of the call - to see how he would describe it clearly so that I could understand.  For others out there that run into this - simply ask the caller to repeat what they are telling you again because you did not understand them - this is not something that a person who is lying can do very easily.  He repeated his message, and it was strained... as though he really wanted to move on... I asked him if he was calling on behalf of Microsoft - because I'd like to know the purpose of the call and because there wasn't any issue that I was aware of which Microsoft would be working on for me to receive a call back on.

Beware - the people calling will/may call you by your name.... so they know you and your number.  I won't bother with his name because it wasn't his real name and it will change from call to call.

I also asked him where he was calling from - he said it was New York!

By this time, his tone was changing and he was getting agitated.  So I then said that I would be reporting him and this call.  He got really upset about this... and finally called me a fu.... bast... and hung up.

Called, left no message. Spoofed as directory assistance from PA. I'm nowhere near PA, shills!

This number called, left no message. Two hours later I received a call from 507-555-0137. No message left.

Same call as above... told him there was no such thing as Windows support for all PC computers and he hung up.

Call was to my wife's cell phone and they hing up before it could be answered. In light of earlier comments it would have been interesting to see what they said since my wife does not have or even know how to use a computer.

They called us at 6:30 in morning! We don't want any other calls from them.

Got a call from this matter regarding a legal matter so he says.  I too saw this as dir asst,  PA  Foreign sounding like he was from some Asian Country.  Amazing how they can do this.

Robocall about possibly using my home as a real estate investment.  From above comments, obviously this is a multi-scam rent-a-number.

Received message from his number.  Man with Nigerian accent asked for me by name.  I couldn't understand the name of the company he said he was with, but he stated he was calling about a problem with our computers and asked to speak with the main user.  I responded I knew it was a scam and told him not to call back.  He kept insisting it was a legitimate call and there were problems with our computers.  When I repeated again that I knew it was a scam and didn't want him calling me he asked me how could I know it was a scam -- am I God?  I told him never to call me again and hung up on him.

Calls day before yesterday (all hang up calls) 11 of them. Started at 1 PM and went on till 10 PM....Yesterday same thing, I answer then click 7 calls yesterday!

Left message about avoiding getting arrested for something to do with taxes and the IRS. Was already on my blocked call list so it went straight to blocked call voicemail where I just noticed it today. Looks like these sleezeballs strike again! Ignore and block them.

Ok so just today alone I've got two calls from this place, both are now on my block list making that number eleven!!!! Geez do they ever give up.

Just got a call from this number.  Someone pretending to be US Treasury dept.  Told me if I did not call them back by dark using a 204??????, that I was going to jail before dark. I have locked gates and Doberman guard dogs.  Wonder how they are going to get me?  I am older and I do protect myself.  I hope the scammers read this.

caller id says Directory Ass,  in Pa.  calls 2 or 2 times a days.  Answered 3  calls and said they had wrong number,  man with accent apologized and hung up.  Called again same day.  Again told him it was a wrong number. Third time I told him that he was continuing to call when I had told him nobody by that name lived here.  Requested that my number be removed from his list,  Again apologized and said ok.  this is saturday at 8:00 pm and i just received the 5th call from this number today.  How do i get rid of these people?
