- Nancy| 8 repliescalled - I hit ignore they left no message - I am registered on do not call list -- getting a couple of other of these type calls from other phone numbers -- guess the DNC registry doesn't matter
- EmilyJust called me. I was skeptical as soon as the number came on my screen because it did not say where the area code was from like it usually does. The woman on the phone (I couldn't tell if it was a real person or an automated message) said, "Hi this is Amber with WN jobs. I am calling to verify some employment qualifications." I had never heard of WN jobs, so I hung up.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- MarieJust got the same call, a woman telling me I recently had an enmployment inquiry... nope.
- azJohnCalled, left no message.
- MikieAmber is a crude voice response system claiming to be responding to an on-line employment application (she says she is still in training). After giving a "required" DOB it starts a survey on the importance of education. It probably it is a fake school scam. Impossible human reproduction suggestions seem to confuse it.
Need to add "Scam" to the list of call types - "Telemarketer" is too kind- Caller: W M Positions
- Call type: Telemarketer
- j.w.Same women saying i had inquired about employment opportunities Bogus
- KatieJust received a call. I ignored it and no message was left. I did just submit an application online for Walmart, so I'm glad I didn't answer it, I may have gotten taken!
- Sheila| 1 replyReceived a call from this number. I'm on the no call list and I have a private number. How did they get my number and I will go online to ATT and block this number. They do not have the right to call me.
- Caller: unknown
- Armah GeddinSame. Didn't answer it though, went to voicemail and they didn't leave a message.
- Terry| 3 repliesReceived a call from 487-121-9722 last night on my Cell phone. I let it go to voicemail but they left no message. I would like to call back to complain to them for calling me as I am on the do not call list for both home and cell numbers, but of course it is an invalid number! This kind of thing is happening much more frequently. What can be done? It is so annoying. Isn't this illegal?
- Caller: Unknown
- Wilmington, MA replies to Terry| 1 replyGee, if only someone would make fraud illegal, these calls would cease. What really needs to be done is to make it profitable to catch the sleazeball behind the scam. Unemployment reduced and annoyance gone!
I also received a call on Friday @ 5:30p. I wasn't around but I hope they had a nice chat with my answering machine. - David| 1 replyI received a call this morning (915am) from 487-121-9722, I suspected this was probably a call I should not and do not want to receive. I answered anyway, out of curiosity, and the caller-automated female voice-simply said "goodbye". So why did they call my number?

- Craig MorganI am on the do not call list, and receive frequent calls from this number. I have answered once or twice and they hang up
- al.Area code 487 is scam. Please do not call back. It is located in India, Kerala, & Thrissur. It's a trick to get u to call long distance
- steve| 1 replyI just received the call requesting additional qualification information for a job application I completed recently. I kept asking questions and making vague comments to see if I could obtain more information about who WN Jobs was, and "Amber" kept repeating comments or questions "she" already asked. I eventually said I was not interested and "she" hung up.
- Caller: WN jobs
- AzLadyi just received a call on my cell from this number. i of course did not answer, and they hung up. I too am on a DO NOT CALL LIST AND MY HOME AND CELL ARE BOTH PRIVATE NUMBERS.
- Caller: unknown
- steveI keep getting these calls at about the same time every other day or so from a bunch of different numbers. I never get a voicemail or anything. It's really really starting to piss me off
- The Gibster| 1 replyJust received a call from this number. This is the fourth (4th) call of this type I have received in the past two (2) two weeks. They are calls to see when I am most likely to pick up the phone. They originate overseas, are routed through bought numbers, picked and distributed randomly. (Someone, or some agency is really trying their ass off to contact me).
The answer is simple - don't answer!
HOWEVER - if you can keep track of the calls, the numbers, and see that there is a pattern emerging - a real pattern, not some OMG! STOP CALLING ME I DON"T WANT TO BE BOTHERTEDDDDDDDDD! WHAAAAA! pattern, keep all your records. And call http://Lemberglaw.com with the info. They go after these guys the right way - and can get you **UP TO** $1000 a hit! They specialize in collection calls, and collection companies. They got me $1500, because I KEPT GOOD RECORDS, and gave them information they could sue with! :-))- Caller: unknown
- Bob replies to Nancy| 7 repliesFor you folks on the Natl Do Not Call list: did you go to the web site to register a complaint? If not, you lose all right to complain. I go there for each unwanted call. It shouldn't matter if the number is an invalid number, since the phone company is able to give the right calling number to the authorities. I suspect the more complaints they get for a number the more attention it gets, so report each call! (www.donotcall.gov). Check the Information For Media (after clicking the "More Information" button on left) to see some of the enforcement that has occurred.
- Bob replies to DavidThis is the same type call I got. I suspect someone is trying to build a list of valid numbers.
