- Annoyed ReceptionistCalled four times within 10 minutes asking first to speak with one person, then to someone else in marketing. When I told him he had to leave a message for that person because they probably weren't at their desk, he called back using another number. When I asked what company he was from, he said he had some information for the person he was asking for. I'm going to start hanging up on this number - it's obviously a scam.

- SwitchboardMan with accent claimed that a specific employee, who is at another location, was expecting his call. I asked what in reference to, and he repeated his statement. I said that we cannot transfer calls without knowing their purpose; and, if his call really had been anticipated, the gentleman would have provided his direct number, because he wasn't here. Then, I hung up loudly.

- IT Manager7 phone calls this morning from a fake name at a busy call centre (3 times with the same NY number, once with the Kentucky number above - probably faked), calling on behalf of ctotoday.net with information about Dell. Each time, I asked to speak with a supervisor, each time I was told none was available, but that I would be removed from their list. Finally, someone claiming to be a supervisor assured me that he would be contacting the IT department and having my details purged, and that no one else would call.
