Yes, I have been getting tons of calls over the past week from them.  All hours of the day and night.  The voicemail has no message, but just a hang up sound or a bit of background noise.

I have a business listed number and that's where they may have gotten my number, otherwise they are randomly calling everyone.

    Credit Owned
I had 2 missed calls from 502 area code, the third was this number which I was able to catch and answer. They identified themselves as calling from Citibank regarding my Sears credit. I think Citibank owns everything now.

These nuisances call me over and over every day between 8 am and 9 pm. They call also from 502-522-9998. It's about missing a deadline in making a payment. What annoys me is that I told them I will fully co-operate in paying every cent I owe and that they are making more money anyway because of LATE FEES AND HIGHER INTEREST RATES. The longer I take to pay the balance the more I owe and the MORE they are going to make. I'd like to pay it all back as soon as possible but it will take me a while because I get paid big sums of money after completing projects. I know I will pay off the full balance but they seem to think they should keep calling me several times each day. I'm not going to answer any more of their calls because it is embarrassing to be at work and keep getting these kinds of calls when I can not speak in private. Once I pay it all off, NO MORE Credit cards unless the limit is very small where I can pay it every month. I will NEVER do business with CITIgroup/CITIbank/CITIcorp ever ever ever again. They can SCREW themselves. But I will pay them back the whole balance, interest, late fees and all. They are so rich and yet they have to be pains in the #%$$$es about it????!!!!!!

Received a call from this number at 7:48 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007. Wanted to speak with my son or his spouse. They were told they were not here and could we take a message. They would not leave a message. Had also received a call earlier that day 4:08 p.m. from 502-522-9998 -- Citigroup. Did not leave a message They have also started calling this morning Sept. 17 at 8:45 am. When the phone was answered, they hung the phone up.  What do these people want? If they call again they need to let whoever answers the phone know what they want. If the answering machine answers, they need to leave a message as to what they want.

I'm getting calls from this number and a similar number today. I am late on my Sears Card payment (but it's only ONE payment) and I don't want to answer because I've read stuff about scammers related to this phone number, so I'm just going to try to ignore it for now. If it is Citibank, then why aren't they calling from an 800 number where I can call them back and talk to someone about it, I don't trust some random area code number that's probably some kid in his basement trying to steal my identity. Also, calling me repeatedly over and over again is harassment, and I'm sure it's a violation of the Fair Debt act.

I know that Citi group and Citi University are apparently associated with Sears - but once you pay the bill, shouldn't they stop making these phone calls?  I was behind by $12.03, paid it last week and the calls are still coming.

They call me every 6 minutes 4 to 5 times in a row.  Normally the calls start around 8:30, 10:30, 12:30, and go until 8:30 p.m.  It is annoying, they do not leave messages, therefore, I do not pick up.

    Annoyed
Been getting calls from Citibank, Citigroup, and Citibank Univer. Nothing really new. Citibank had taken over Sears portfolio, they did will at the begining but there aggressiveness has the Sears stock dropping. Heard a rumor that while Sears stocks where dropping the Citibank executives where giving themselve raises. I fell sorry for the people that work at Sears and K-mart that have profit sharing. Is Citibank the new ENRON? Sinces Citibank outsources the collection dept can they be held responsible for any violaiton of the Fair Collection Act?

    Had it with 502-357-7999
This number calls all the time and it is ignored. Someone had a weak moment and answered one day. They were looking for someone with the same last name.

OK. We're behind in our Sears payment. My wife called Sears (in an attempt to be proactive...) and explained that we'll catch up. They agreed with our plan. Three days later a man (with a Middle-Eastern accent!) called and demanded payment over the phone. My wife explained that she already called Sears and we have an agreement. He screamed at her demanding a credit card number over the phone. She refused, and said we'll pay soon. He screamed some personal insults. I decided to add my comment to this site before calling Sears to find out the complaints number at Citibank. If they're not cooperative I'll ask our attorney to help us out. I believe the collection agency may not even be in the U.S. but are using an internet phone that connects with a PBX in Kentucky.
