Tax fraud scam! Left a message I would be "taken under custody by the local" ??? Local what... I'm not sure. Total BS. BLOCKED

This number called stating I would be arrested for taxes scam

Just got the same voicemail. Ridiculous.

I just got a robo-call saying that there's fraudulent activity connected to my IRS file, and that I will be "taken into custody" if I don't call this number within 24 hours. So, basically, if I decide not to call, I have 24 hours to skip town. Riiiiiight!! SCAM!!!!!

I just received the same message. Tried calling back no answer on hold for 20 minutes. Definite scam.

Just got a phone call from this number and they said I was charged with filing my taxes to late for fraud on my taxes

Total scam.  Originates in either India or Pakistan.   Block and ignore.   DO NOT RETURN THE CALL!

I’m an Enrolled Agent with the IRS (Inactive). IRS does not initiate contacts by phone.  US mail only.   IRS does not file lawsuits.  IRS has enough administrative authority under the IRS Code and related regulations to collect all taxes lawfully due the federal government.     Court action, if any is handled by the DOJ and all parties are entitled to legal assistance if it is a criminal matter.  But--tax disputes are for the most part civil matters.  90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively.  IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes. IRS does not threaten to involve local law enforcement or to arrest you for nonpayment of federal taxes.  IRS has no powers of arrest as related to ordinary tax disputes.  Having a deficiency in taxes owed by way of audit is NOT a crime.  IRS does not cold call anyone and demand immediate payment of  money.  IRS does not ask for financial information over the phone.   IRS does not accept Green card money paks or Itunes cards or similar for payment in any case.  No one is prosecuted for ordinary tax disputes. IRS has absolutely no authority over anyone's professional license. Professional licensing is handled by state governments.  Yes, levies on property to satisfy an existing tax obligation do occur, but only after a very long period of negotiation. And yes, liens are placed on individuals but  usually after a lot of negotiation and a failure to reach a settlement.   All determinations of tax liability are subject to appeals.  All  contacts by the IRS are initiated by US mail.

I just got the same and almost fainted!!!!

Just received same type of call from this number.

Having recently put out resumes I am getting a lot of BS calls even though I have taken them off monster and careerbuilder etc. after finding employment.  This # just called my cell and I hit ignore immediately.  I will be blocking the #.  Funny especially since I get money back from the IRS every year! I hate this crap... came up CHAPLIN, KY. I live in Ohio and don't know anyone in KY.

I received a call from this number as well.  I asked who my IRS Case Worker is and they hung up on me.

I work for the IRS. I just got a call from them on my personal cell phone. Called back on my government phone and let them know that I was calling from the IRS. They hung up on me. Kept trying to call back, but they keep hanging up! Hope I don't get arrested for not talking to them...I tried! (Sarcasm)

Just got 3 Robocalls from this number saying I would be prosecuted if I didn't call them. I called and the guy sounded like he was on drugs. He asked for my information and said he was with the IRS. I asked him if he could verify who he was, or verify that his number was really from IRS and he stuttered nonsense words and hung up.

Received voicemail called back and they immidiately hung up on me after I said my full name

Got the same call from this number today.

Said I was going to jail for some tax deal.  Impossible.  I gave all my money to a needy Nigerian Prince who tracked me down and was soliciting help getting his fortune out of the country.  Nigerian Prince, if you're reading this, I'm still waiting for my 28 million dollars.

The call you made was probably to a county that ws NOT the united states, and you could have made a phoen call wth several hundred US Dollars!

If you see a HUGE charge on your next phone bill,  CALL THE PHONE COMPANY WHO HANDLES YOUR PHONE.

I got the same call from this number yesterday twice. Both times a robot left a message. Nuts!

The knuckleheads at 502-383-4017 are still being stupid on May 31, 2017.  But, the good part is yet to come for them :-)  ,  ,  :-(
