Received a call @ 9:20 AM - This is one of those "False Caller ID" call or Spoofing as it is otherwise known.  Others show this phone number as a debt collector, and others things also.  This time I was told my New Back Brace would be shipped shortly at no cost to me but they needed my Medicare number so they could bill them directly for the total cost. Told them to look up their mothers phone number and use that.  The bottom line is that this whole "Spoofing" thing is the fault of AT & T for allowing this sort of behavior on their trunk lines.! However they (A&T) have the money and the elected officials in their pocket so guess what, no change is gonna happen with the security of your he or business phone now is it ?

Caller said it was about my husband's back brace.  He does not have one...SCAM!

called it back.."we're sorry, we are unable to connect your call at this time.  233"  not sure what 233 is....maybe how many people have called back today?!  I have comcast so I'm going to block their number.

You should be more specific; it's at&t, not AT&T.  The dopes at SBC who bought the company back in 2005 decided to belittle the name by going with small case letters instead of the large case.  A point made to show AT&T that they were no longer the "big dog" in the market.  Small minds come up with smaller ideas.

I have received 2 calls.  Both were from a call center selling back braces.  I wouldn't/couldn't give me the name of the product so I could look it up.  He said it would be free using my Medicade insurance.  He is calling me back tomorrow.  He said I would be set up with doctor's office so measurements can be taken to make sure it fits correctly.  

Don't give out any ID, credit card or medicare numbers to these scammers. They will use the number for identiity theft or worse. If this was a legit offer he would give you the product name.

Don't answer calls fron unknown area codes, everyone should get caller Id

Sounded like someone from india. I said take our name off your list. We are supposed to be on the do not call list. He kept sayng it wasn't a sales call, but information. I hung up.

I do have caller ID but should I really refuse to answer if I don't recognize the area code or if the caller's name is not displayed? It's a toss-up. What if it's an incredibly profitable client I just haven't heard of yet? What if it's one of my many buddies whose code and ID are unlisted? What if it's someone in my circle who has just got a new cell phone with a mysterious but perfectly legitimate number? It's not as simple as we all wish it was.

Called on 4/9 at 13:26. ID says "Eminence KY" (the state, I assume, not the jelly). Wasn't around so didn't pick up. No message left.

If someone's "code and ID are unlisted" you would not see what is listed, you would ALWAYS see ANNONYMOUS.
Chances that it's one of your many buddies is probably 10000 to 1 ... or worse odds.
How many "incredibly profitable clients" do you ever get such calls from?? If the answer is ZERO then it is SIMPLE!
If it's a new cell number then they almost always show "Cell Phone" not a city and state!
...
If you want to continue to get these calls and more (answering and speaking to a scammer ALWAYS tells them they have a REAL phone number connected to a LIVE person) keep answering the calls.
If your buddies or friends want to talk to you they WILL leave a message - if they don't then they never wanted to talk to you about anything anyway...

Beware of phone scams

Called 4/16 at 0920 and left no message.  Caller ID said, "Eminence, KY".  I don't know anyone there.   Block the number.  Don't ever give out any of your information for these type of calls.  If you do, you'll regret it later.  Again, block the number.

I would love to call there house while they are eating doing dishes cooking caring for parents or children doing laundry but alas it will never happen. Dirty rotten blood sucking money grubbing greedy [***] [***]!!!! And those are their positive good traits !!!!

Just got a call from that number, labeled "Eminence KY."  I didn't bother to answer.
