Picked up. No one on the other end

This number has been calling me daily for a week. When I call back it says can't be completed as dialed. What is funny is that I have called the Hotel chain that it is from?

Continued new wrinkle on fake numbers, (area code) 555-0xxx

Safe to assume that this is a robo-calling telemarketer using spoofed numbers, etc.

Call from 502-555-0136. Automated voice says my account has been locked, to unlock it enter 16 digit card number!

Gee, that isn't shaddy at all. I tried to hit 0 a bunch of times to see if it would bring me to an actual person, but it just kept asking for my card number.

Is this a scam or someone pranking me?

Indian accent w/call center noises in background. Said he was calling on behalf of Windows. That there was a Windows error. That they could see my machine was generating errors on their server & this was a courtesy call to help fix it. I informed him we're an all-Mac household & hung up. Scam scam scam. I suspect ID thefts in the near future from their efforts :-(  --and if you don't already know this, Windows is not a company. It is a Microsoft product. Microsoft would never call you out of the blue to collect sensitive info like this, much less confuse company/product.

I didn't answer, I never do with strange numbers such as this, I always go online to look up the number. I called back, but it was just some recording saying to dial 611 to direct my call to the right dept, dialing 611 did nothing, looks like this is just some scammer dialing from a computer.

I was called at 8:00AM on 11/06/2014. Needless to say I was less than enthused. An east indian accented male who identified himself as "George" and was calling from "Windows Technical Department". I stopped him at that point, shouted a rather deserving vulgarity and hung up on him. I know about the Windows scams going around and wouldn't give him a chance.

Answer, got a man by the name of "Shawn" with a very thick indian accent. It was very loud, and very loud in the background of the call center. Said he wanted to help us lower our natural gas bill. The caller ID also said Directory Assitants

More nuisence calls - AGAIN; hangup on answering machine.

This Group has called sveral time over the last week all hours of the day. No messages left.

I received a call from 1-502-555-0136 stating from Washington police that an arrest warrant was going to be issued in my state and i needed to contact the Attorney at 1-360-807-5524 to handle this before 11am tomorrow. Pretty sure this is a scam and she has a thick Indian accent and there was noise in the background.

These idiots called our business today at 1708 hours.  This was the second scam call we got with the "555" bit.  Caller ID said simply "Texas" and with the "555" I knew it was just another scam artist, so I picked up the receiver slightly and slammed it back down.  We actually received more calls from scam artists today than we did customers.
