Phone call from someone who claimed to be with some hi- tech company affiliated with Microsoft.  Our computer, they said, had sent signals to them which indicated we had Trojans and viruses in our computer.
When I told him that we just recently had our computer serviced and none of that was found.   He demanded to know "who said that"?  I told him a local company here who had been able to see inside our computer had found nothing.  He hung up on me.  Had an Indian accent.
    • Caller: Said Hi Tech Co with Microsoft.

Persisting calls keep coming from this number , Don't understand what they want. Indian accents saying error messages are coming from my computer !  Conscious of scammers I asked him how much it would cost to fix or if he needed my credit card to find out their intentions and he declined ??? I'm a bit confused as to what they are trying to accomplish but then denying my money has me confused as scammers are quick to accepted

Received a call from this number. Voice over phone was male and vaguely Indian. He informed me he was calling regarding my computer. When I asked him which one, he said 'your home computer'. I asked him to be more specific, and he said 'your Windows computer' - which I don't own. I asked him to put me on his 'do not call list' and he hung up.

They want to remotely take over your computer to FIX the problem. At this point they now have access to all your information, passwords, card numbers etc. and they can also attach a worm or virus to your computer. Microsoft does not make phone calls.  Computers do not send out generic error messages. Never allow anyone to remotely access your computer. My niece was fooled and spent hundreds repairing her computer plus the agony of changing passwords, account info, etc.  a nasty scam.
