- Caller: unknown
- moparPrestige Payment Systems wanting to sell me credit card merchant services lol

- MoSomeone called my home land line and left no message from this number. The listing on my phone indicates it's from Prestige Payments in Government, Oregon....go figure.
So I presume it might be a collection agency. Since I just moved and this is a new telephone number for me, I presume they are trying to reach whomever had the number previously.
Also, when I looked up the number, Rodney Beals is listed as the owner of the telephone number so he may be contracted to search for deadbeats.- Caller: Prestige Payments
- Fed UPThis is an illegal attempt to steal your Privacy Act information such as your name, address, phone, social security number to setup credit accounts in your name and or drain your business or personal bank accounts.
DONOT give these people any of your information or even call them back. Your information and money could be used to sponsor an illegal alien or worse yet a TERRORIST.- Caller: Prestige Payments
- PC Mod SquadSomebody called and asked for the business owner.. but they asked for him by middle name. Obvious attempt to solicit.
I called the number back and told them to cease and desist all future calls. The supervisor, "Steven", said "We'll try not to.." No, YOU WONT. I recommend everyone else report calls from these idiots to http://www.fcc.gov/complaints- Caller: Prestige Payments

- DF, CJSRude and will not let the caller speak. They rule the conversation like a New York used car saleman. I would refuse to discuss ANYTHING with these people. First caller refused to state the company he was calling (mine) or the last name of the person he was seeking. Report this company to BBB.

- HORRIBLE REPRESENTATION OF COMPANYCalled our small business line...asked for "richard" (no one by the name of richard works here)....I said Richard? the reply: "mhm" Me: "I'm sorry, no one by the name of Richard..." *they hang up*.
So rude, and a horrible representation of the company. If you're going to call without a blocked number, and have your company represented on the caller ID.....Cute tip: don't just hang up on the person YOU'RE calling.

- Tinter5280"Christy" just called my business number and apologized that she didn't catch my name. I replied that I had not given it to her. She then asked to speak with the business owner. I asked what I could help her with. She asked if I was the business owner. I hung up.
It so happens that I am indeed the business owner, but if someone is trying to solicit my company and they don't even know who it is by name they should be talking to, go to hell. Do your homework, you pushy broad.- Call type: Telemarketer
- Not EricWoman, giggly, called asked to speak to Eric. That is my friend's name, which I listed as owner of my company 20 years ago as a joke. So I know any caller for Eric is telemarketer. I said "Sure" because I wanted to put her on hold indefinitely. But, she hung up immediately.

- the biz ownerThis jerk tried very hard to sell me on a new payment processor. I explained that our industry uses software that general only allows for one (proprietary) processor, so he might want to try a different industry. He got very condescening and started explaining that they can interface with any POS system. Well, not this one! Tip: If you're trying to sell someone something, don't be a d!ck!!

- get-a-real-job| 1 replyI have a couple of ways to deal with these parasites. First, I let the phone ring three full times before I pick up. I pick up and don't say anything for 2-3 seconds. If it is a computer autodialer, 80-90% of the time the computer will hang up thinking it has gotten a voice mail or answering machine. After 2-3 seconds, I say our company name, but don't give out my name. That way they don't automatically have a name if they call back and get someone else. If I still get a person and they insist, I tell them my name is "Richard Smith"(it's not). It is none of their business what my real name is, they are telescammers who are breaking the law. If they persist in calling over and over again, I tell them that my boss is available, and then I use a sports air horn right next to the phone. What are they going to do, sue me? "Your Honor, I was illegally telescamming and they deafened me!" Good luck with THAT argument. The judge might give me a medal. Reporting these "people"(I use that term loosely) to the Do Not Call Registry is futile, they are usually spoofing their phone number anyway. If you have the time, have some fun with them. See how long they will stay on hold or still be on the line if you put the phone down. Take your cordless into the bathroom and have an extended "deposit" at the Porcelain Bank, complete with very loud fake sound effects. Tell them you ARE the boss and listen to their sales pitch, never saying yes to anything, but always saying that you will look at your numbers and see what you can do. Some scammers will record any affirmative answer you give and then splice it into a call and bill you for whatever they are selling, using that as evidence of an order. Waste as much of their time as you can, because that keeps them from scamming other people, and it can be a really fun stress reliever! Anything that we can do to make this less profitable for these ticks on the butt of humanity is a plus. Feel free to pass this on or add to it with your fun ways of taking back your phone lines. If these idiots would get a real job, the world would be a better place for all of us.
This call hung up, but from other comments on here, it looks like a credit card payment machine scam. Always do your own research to pick a credit card processing company. If they are calling you unsolicited, it's probably a ripoff deal or a scam. Since the company I work for is a cash-only business, it's always fun if I can get them to answer the phone. They never know what to say when you tell them that you don't take credit or debit cards.- Caller: "prestige payments" on Caller ID
- PURRHOThis number keeps calling me asking me to do jobs for the Government and how wonderful and how rich I could get doing this.
