Will Not Stop Calling After requesting that they stop calling several times - Now they are doing it just to annoy...

Only 1 ring, but enough to get Caller I.D.; "Merchant Pr Inc"

This number called our business but our system filtered them out as a nuisance call and they were given the option of leaving a message which they did but didn't say anything....it sounded like a boiler-room type of operation, you could hear other voices in the background and then they just disconnected from voice mail.

They called me before 7 this morning (I was still asleep) and left no message.  I tried calling the number back this evening and all I got was a very loud, high-pitched whine. No ringing, no busy signal, just that whine.

I have received several calls ranging from early in the morning into the late afternoon. Call ends before I have a chance to answer. When I try to call the number displayed on Caller ID I get the high pitch whine of a Fax Machine or Computer. I plan to try and send these people a FAX asking them to stop.

I have filed a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry (https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx) and suggest everyone else do the same. If enough complaints are received, they may take legal action against these people.

someone called me from this # @ 3:45pm Pacific Time. No message was left.

I received a call at home office number.  The caller very politely asked what the company did.  The caller heard my son in the background and asked if he had reached a residence.  I said I was working remote for a week, and the call was promptly disconnected.
A return call connected and rang ... 10 rings - no answer, no voice mail.
I'd consider this a spam call.

When we try to call the number displayed on Caller ID I get the high pitch whine like a Fax Machine or Computer Modem. I tried to send these people a FAX asking them to stop calling but the it will not accept fax tones.

These guys are a**holes.  They've called several times and always ask for me by my "First Name, Middle Name".  I immediately knew that it was a telemarketer.  I told him to stop calling because we were on the no-call list and he hung up.  Idiot jerks.  I tried calling them back but got no answer.  Is there any way to put a stop to this?
