This is Willamette University calling to beg for money.  My kid goes there.  I would not normally post this here, but they are robo calling nearly every night and not picking up at least half the time.  Nor are they taking me off their calling list as requested.  So I blocked my kid's school.

My other daughter went to MIT.  They only called asking for money a couple times a year--and a human did the dialing!

Looking at my phone, I see they called AGAIN tonight--and were blocked.  Pretty bad when your kid's school robo calls you incessantly.

I have 3 degrees from the university.  I explained I have student loans and no job.  I still get called once a week.

So here we are two months later, and Willamette continues to call EVERY weeknight around 8:30.  We have tried to answer it to tell them to stop calling (again) on four occasions, but all we get is click, click, then nothing.  The latest was tonight.  The robodialer didn't have enough bodies to handle the calls.

They can rot on the block list.

Oh, I love it when I get a call from this number because my daughter is a telefund employee; as she explains it, the dialing system is automated but there are a dozen or so students on the other end of the line waiting to have conversations with alumni & parents like me. I'm sure Willamette wishes it had a $13 billion endowment like MIT, lol! You know you can just phone the alumni office and ask to be taken off the calling list, right? I'm proud to support a school where 98% of students receive financial aid and scholarships, but maybe that's just me.

just wanted to say that WU doesn't robocall, used to work for telefund, and there are definitely humans (students, in fact) that are calling

Two questions: First, why did you look up the number when you know to whom it belongs. Second, since it's "definitely humans" that are calling, why don't they remove numbers from the call list when asked?

They start to call me since I just graduated... almost every week I got a call at night ... really no money to donate....
