This number needs to be flagged!!  They called asking for my sone who has been in the air force for over a year. They claim they are the FBI and he murdered someone! They also wanted to verify the last 4 of his social security number.

these are the scumf_ckers that try to scam & scare people into sending them money for payday loans that never existed.  if you have ever signed up online for a payday loan, bad credit loan, car loan, school loans (there are so many sites) chances are you've just handed your info over to #1 someone who will continue to submit your information over & over again & get paid well to do it, payday loan sites are huge cash cows paying $7-$20 per application & they simply redirect you to another of their sites & then another, etc... each time submitting your info & getting paid for it

# 2 those same people are either directly involved in the scare scam threatening type of calls or are selling your information to those who are actually doing the calling.

i have the name of one individual who sold another individual payday loan collection accounts, ( i have his name too) and the payday loan company the accounts are supposedly collection accounts for, is the same on that these people insist the loans they are collecting for happen to come from.

payday loan collection scams are perpetrated by indiviuals with no moral conscience whatsoever.  it is absolutely clear to me, from my conversations with these individuals, that they do not have any interest in the legitimacy of the debt, nor  the illegality of their threatening calls, false indentification of themselves as officers of the law, they don't even seem to comprehend how idiotic their pitch really is.

and trust me, i have told them, even given them the website address for the site i created just for them, lol, all their rantings & mine too, one audio controller & a website, sometimes, less really is more...

just tell the caller that the individual they seek is deceased.

oh here's the only thing you need to know it's a payday loan collection scam caller - the call starts like this (I KNOW THIS BY HEART LOL NOT SO FUNNY REALLY)

...voice mail message basically the same as talking to them live...

THIS MESSAGE IS INTENDED FOR (EXAGGERATED PRONUNCIATION OF NAME HERE) JOHN JACKSON

JOHN, THE VERY SECOND YOU RECEIVE THIS MESSAGE, I NEED YOU OR YOUR RETAINED ATTORNEY OF RECORD TO RETURN THE CALL

THE ISSUE AT HAND IS EXTREMELY TIME SENSITIVE

MY NAME IS OFFICER (ENTER UNUSUALLY AMERICAN NAME) MIKE SMITH & I'M CALLING FROM THE INTERNET CRIME & PREVENTION DEPARTMENT, THATS ICP(OR A LAW OFFICE, SOME OTHER NONSENSE)

THE HOTLINE TO MY DIVISION IS BLAH BLAH BLAH, I REPEAT BLAH BLAH BLAH

A LAWSUIT HAS BEEN FILED (OR A SERIOUS COMPLAINT HAS BEEN MADE)AGAINST YOU AND UNDER YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER (THIS IS WHERE MOST PEOPLE GET SCARED BECAUSE THEY MAKE SURE TO LET YOU KNOW THAT THEY HAVE YOUR SS#)

I just rec'd my first and hopefully my last call from this number.  No message was left.

They called my cell phone (It is registered with the do not call list.)

Just received a call on my cell from this number.  Immediately upon answering, some Spanish speaking person was jabbering.  Have NO clue who or what they wanted.  My phone is on the National Do Not Call Registry, as well.

I have repeatedly asked them to stop calling me. They call at least 7 times everyday! I called it back and asked to be placed on the do not call list... still they call constantly!

Just received a call an I couldn't understand this person as the reception was very bad.  
While she was calling me back I looked up the number and found these posting .  
As soon she called back - she terrible reception - I hung up sayin "  Sorry no interested"  Thank you all for posting .

And to the person who called ... STOP my number is listed in the DO NOT CALL and you will be reported

This phone number is tied to Portfolio Recovery.  Don't answer!!!!!

They claim to be from USA financial. They ask for your name and hang up.

Couldn't understand them, sounded like they were from India or something and the reception was horrible. I just said "who is this" a couple of times and then "I think you have the wrong number" and hung up.

I don't know if they will call back, I hope not. I am sick to death of getting these crap calls. I am also on the no call list I guess whoever it is doesn't have that.

All I can say for sure is the call originated from Tillamook, OR according to the display on my phone.

Tried to awnser wouldnt let me so i hung up then i called the #back it was out of service they didnt leave messege hopefully dont call me back maybe it was amistake

Just missed a call from this number. Left no message.
This is the fourth or fifth day that I've been getting calls from these supposed scam/loan/debt nonsense people, when my number is private. I'm really really annoyed. I also have zero debt, zero loans. What the hell is the point of all this?

This number called me today and claimed to be a representative for Television service carriers and when I told them who my service is through, they confirmed that was who they were with. They wanted to qualify me for a special to save a significant amount of money. I played along but was very suspicious from the beginning. When she asked my date of birth I refused and asked how much more personal she planned to get as I do not give out SS# or account #'s. She said she needed my account number to qualify me and I laughed at her and said goodbye and hung up. I did call back and requested not to be called again. I too am on the Do Not Call Registry. I saved their number in my cell as scammers and will have to see if they call back.

Oops... She asked for my Social Security number, not my account number.

This number has been. Calling me but I dnt pick up... I looked it up and sems that its a scam number and now that I have read all of ur posts I'm sure its a scam number. They better not call me again because I will report them.

I have gotten at least two phone calls per day for the last several days.
It is always the same....silence....then after 30 seconds or so,
"Good Bye"
These two words are somewhat accented with a European vowel...so could be like a German Accent...or, yes, like a response above, it could be Indian. Too short to really tell.
I live in the Houston area, am on the Do Not Call List and have attached this number to my cell phone address book under DO NOT ANSWER!  
My cellphone  chirps out the names of persons calling.
