- CustomerThey said they were going to cancel my completed order if I did not comply and give them additional persoanl information. I'm going to investigate the whole thing, and use what I've read from others here.
I have placed orders like this a number of times without such a demand, and it was not mentioned on the Internet web page where I placed, and completed, the order.- Caller: Vesta Corp

- sjAlan called and left a message that to complete an AT&T order placed today, I need to call back at 1-888-278-3324 and reference to an order number AM137983885. Sounds very official except that I did not place an order, plus I can hear other voices in the background (like a boiler room operation).

- Serenetee(Call Type: Payment failure to ATT)
I received a call from this number saying they were ATT & that my check had not cleared...
Indeed that did happen. I made another payment through my bank account.
After, I tried to verify it with ATT, couldn't find a number to talk with someone first of all! When I did, I was told that this number comes back as a residential number with the name "Time Warner"! Also was told that unless it is an 800/888.. number it is not ATT.
I contacted police, watched bank account all night long waiting for the bank to open in the morning!
Before doing that I tried one more time to speak with someone at ATT.
After being transferred 3 times I finally did get someone who said it was "Vesta Corp", gave me their ID & name and knew about the payment I'd made the night before!
I asked why I was not still speaking with ATT having been transferred from them, she said that Vesta Corp is a payment center that works with ATT.. FINALLY, AN ANSWER!!
So, everything seems legit, just wanted to let everyone know.
I asked- Caller: Vesta Corp

- LewisI refilled my T-mobile account around 2 hours ago and I was informed that I would be called to verify my information. Around one hour later, I got a call from this number and ask last 4 number of my SSN, address. I though it should be the call which I was informed.
After reading the messages, I have to call back to T-mobile and my credit card company. - BabbsReceived a call at 1:17 a.m. this morning.
All I heard was that they were from AT&T and needed payment.
I immediately hung up.
Tried to call back and the number was not in service!
Don't know about this but it sure sounds fishy - especially calling me at 1:17 in the morning - I was not a happy camper!- Caller: AT&T
