called my landline, which is on the DO NOT CALL list.
Recorded message began, at whichpoint,  I hung up

I got the call to. But I have a Digitone Call Blocker so it hangs up on them even before my phone would ring. The Blocker stores the numbers so I can check if I want to see who called. You need to get one also.

I got the same call about 4 hrs ago. I have blocked this company "card services"  6 times on my phone and they keep changing their number. I am on the do not call list and have reported them many times but nothing is done about it.

I'm beginning to think the do not call registry is working with these scammers...If not why do they NOT do ANYTHING about these calls. I have repeatedly reported to them, yet nothing is done at all. Lazy a** people can't do their jobs right? I am sick of these freaking scammers and if beating someone up was legal, I would pray to find them and do it. I HATE these morons..they call late at night too...freaking m'fkers make me sick to my stomach!!!

i just wanted to say that i have started getting calls from this number and a few others ever since i switched to Vonage about a month ago. i don't know if it's just something that happens when you switch carriers, or if Vonage sells our numbers to these firms. i am on the Do Not Call Registry.

I agree, I have used the do not call and it seems I have gotten more calls since I am on the list.
Something has to be done about  these callers.

These people have called several times over the last few months. Have told them we are on the DNC list - both national and local - but that seems to have no effect on them. I got an individual on the line this time and told her that if I received another call the person calling would receive a punctured eardrum. She said she would spread the word to not call our number again since it have a very screeching whistle that they would not want to hear.

damn government shouldnyt have broke up Ma Bell.  She would NEVER have stood for this harassment.

The DNC is not working with the scammers.  The scammers are using spoofed numbers.  Reporting the numbers does nothing because they are not real numbers.  I have had success with DNC when the numbers are legit, but scammers don't use them anymore.  You have to deal directly.  Lead them on, waste their time, then make them wish they never called.  The last one that called me got an ear full of disgusting expletives.  Get an air horn if you have to.  If you want to place blame, it's the dumb [***] who fall for the scams. These scams wouldn't happen if the scammers didn't reap any benefit.

I have been receiving these irritating calls off and on for what seems like several years. The latest was on 5-8-12. My caller ID read "Lower Interest". The robo part of the call always starts with something like " do you want lower interest rates?". On one occasion I picked up and asked who the caller was and she hung up on me. They likely are fishing for personal info like ss numbers. They must be using some sort of computerized system which makes their calls impossible to track by Federal or State DNC authorities. Its ironic that DNC lists stop legit businesses from making calls but the scammers can operate with impunity.

This is really a call center.  They get contracts with a variety of "businesses" and just have their computers making calls.  This is the same company that called from the number 206-496-0836.  I've blocked all their calls so they just keep trying new numbers.  I have a call blocker so only those numbers that I "enter in" can ring through.  All the rest go to voice mail so I'm never bothered by anyone, even these jerks.  Anyone who has legitimate business with me will leave a message.  Get one of these things folks; it's worth it.  My original one only held 170 numbers but this new one holds 270.  Here's the web site where I bought it. http://www.jfteck.com/caller-id-with-ring-controller.php

I got an automated call from this number today.  A$$holes.  Look people, let's wise up:  The DO-NOT-CALL list is there so fraudulant telemarketers have a readily available list of numbers to call and harrass.

Hi folks.  I just checked the web site that I purchased my caller ID "thingy" from but the link to purchase isn't working.  The unit is available from Amazon.com for about 80 dollars.  Just thought I'd let you know.

Hi..me again.  I just found this report on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) web page about these "lower your interest rate" robo calls.  Apparently it is a serious problem.  Here's the web page for the report.

For the past few months, I've been getting calls from 503-902-8480 Lower Your Interest Rate and it's getting to the point where I'll press 1 and I'll [***] at whoever answers. I've been nice many times. I've repeatedly asked them to remove me from the list. The very first time I spoke with a very nice lady who assured me that I'm removed since using their automated remove option didn't work at all. She apologized for the calls and says that credit card companies routinely provide them with more numbers. After a week or two I started getting the calls again. I again opt to be removed yet still got the same call after a couple of hours. I then pressed 1 again and spoke with a guy, before I even finished speaking he hung up on me. So today I got to one guy and just bitched the hell out of him before he hung up. I added their number to AT&T's screening feature so hopefully that'll work. This is getting really frustrating.
