- Caller: 5053491614
- PaulThey ask questions about your personal income and age. I told them I didn't feel comfortable giving that information. After the 10 questions, they said a manager will call to confirm the entry into the drawing. I expect it's some hard sell but don't know what yet. The frequency of these types of calls is getting scary. When is our government going to allow the telephone companies to do something about this, or will they do something themselves besides the worthless do-not-call list.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- anonymousRang, but they don't respond when I answer. ID says "Albuqurque NM" which is a misspelling.
- chesky_divisionClaim to be a survey, they say who they are but you can't understand and they wont repeat who they are even if you ask then they pull the whole.. Is this mrs. jones... really nothing more to do then say take me off your call list. Next time they ask if I'm mrs jones I think I'll say yes just to see what happens.

- anonymousPretending to be a Readers Book club and to put my name in a drawing. Hung up when I told her she was in violation of the FCC Do Not Call regulations. And here I was, ready to recite the info and explain how much money they could be fined per call...

- KTI get lots of calls from this number. the ID says Albuqurque, NM.
- LouEllyn YeagerReceived this call about 5:30 pm CST Monday, July 30, 2012. Was told it was for a short survey. I had company at the time and told the caller, nicely, that it was not a good time for me to be on the phone and she immediately, withut saying anything, disconnected. Googled the number and found it to be a telemarketing call for a New Mexico based (in the Albuquerque area) Magic Jack company. The survey is a scam lead in to the sales pitch. I have received several of these calls recently and do NOT WANT THEM TO CONTINUE!
My number is on the National Do Not Call Registry.- Caller: telemarketing
- Call type: Survey
- Maureen in SavannahPretended to be a 10 question survey about random things. Knew it was bogus because one of the first questions was "What is your favorite sport?" and when I asked what they meant... to participate in or to spectate? She said "It doesn't matter!" So, I knew it was not a valid survey. They did say they would call back about a drawing I was now entered in. I said "Don't bother." and she said that I was already entered in the drawing so I would get the call. She knew my name, too. Now, I guess I'll just see whether they call back for some reason. But, it IS annoying to get these calls.
- Caller: Don't know.
- Maureen in SavannahIf you are on the Do Not Call list, the following is true...
Even if your number is registered, charities, political organizations, and telephone surveyors may continue to call you. Companies with which you do business may also continue to call, unless you have asked them to stop calling you. If you have asked them to stop calling, please keep a record of the date you made the request and include that information in the comment section of any complaint you submit against that company.
Debt collectors may also continue to call you whether your number is on the Registry or not. If you have a complaint about a debt collector, please Click Here to file your complaint. For more information about your rights regarding debt collectors
So, since this company from New Mexico is PRETENDING to be a survey, they are trying to skirt the rules of contacting those on the DNC list.- Caller: Unknown
- SCAMMERSBE WARNED PEOPLE!
TELEMARKETING SCAMS ARE ON THE RISE!!!!!
They are criminals, they are not part of ANY survey they are just plan scammers out to steal your money. PERIOD. They are the same network of criminals behind Card Services, Home Security, and Free Cruise survey. It is all a scam just to get your credit card information.
Regardless if they are trying to skirt around the DNC list, what they are doing is still illegal. They have to have an option to opt out and a VALID call back number. As well, the company must represent themselves and provide company information. NOT HANG UP! Even if they know your name, dont be scammed. The more people who get scammed, the longer they stay in business. A SURVEY IS A SURVEY, not a sales call.
TELEMARKETING SCAMS ARE ON THE RISE. If you recieved this call you will recieve many others. DO NOT call the number back, DO NOT PRESS any number to be removed, DO NOT participate. Just report and warn. Let others know and report to appropriate authorities.
Hope this helps.
Word of advice~ Record the calls. Report and warn. Keep in mind, telemarketing calls are on the rise.- Caller: Scammers
- Call type: Telemarketer
- SCAMMERSKnow the signs folks.
The caller ID is always a dead give away. If the number is not in your region, it is probably a scammer. They use fake caller ID and fowarding services to doop unsuspecting victims. As well, Unknown name, should be a sign, every TELEMARKETING COMPANY by law must provide adequate caller ID information as well as a real company phone number.
1) If the number is out of your zone, IT IS PROBABLY A SCAMMER.
2) If the caller ID seems suspicious, IT IS PROBABLY A SCAMMER.
3) If they dont state the company and appropriate information, IT IS PROBABLY A SCAMMER.
4) If they ask for personal information over the phone, IT IS PROBABLY A SCAMMER.
5) If the call begins with a ROBO call, IT IS PROBABLY A SCAMMER.
Just NEVER give out personal information over the phone, always request information in writing. If they say they have sent you something, they are probably lying, it is still advised, even if it is creditors to not provide sensative information over the phone. Be skeptical (and smart) for these types of calls. The best advice is to ignore and report. Just use common sense, there is no reward, no help, no prize, no services, it is all just a scheme to doop and steal. Check your state's laws and the FTC, Do Not Call List, and FCC website for more information on what is required and information about this ongoing situation. Also check the FBI's website. Warn the gullible and the elderly, they are the most vunerable.
Hope this helps.- Caller: Scammers
