getting calls from this number with the identiy of "Hello There" but it is connected to another number, 360 529-6145 Diabetic Supplies.  They want to send you a meter at no charge and want all your information, soucial security number, date of birth, etc.  This is a scam and should be reported.  I have been gettting these calls for months.  If the Diabetic Supply person does not get all the information  from you, you will get a call from the "Hello There" number who is a women who is very good at getting you to talk.  If youcall back these numbers , you get a recording that just tells you to press "1" if you do not want them to call you again.  You do not get to speak to anyone as they just disconnect the call.  Where are the police or someone to investigate these call????????????????

Got a call from this number and when she asked me if I had diabetes I said NO, and she said, "You are liar".  I hung up on her and since haven't heard back.   I figured she just wanted my social security number.... because I gotten many calls in the past were they are wanting to update my meter and then want my social security number.  But the difference with  this lady was she was rude.
How does anyone STOP these people from calling?

    Thanks,
    Jeanne Wilcox

Local police have nothing to do with scam callers...  that's the Feds, the DNC.  Unless the caller threatens your life, or something like that.  And the DNC is impotent and overwhelmed.  Pressing 1 just tells them your line is active and they'll be trying again.  Criminals don't care about your requests to stop calling, any more than if you asked them politely not to burglarize your home.  They're all outlaws.  Best to just recognize and ignore the calls, and just hang up, if you did answer.  Real medical supply people wouldn't initiate a solicitation call to you, they're for-profit and therefore an unrequested solicitation would be a violation of DNC rules (unless you contacted them first within a certain period of time, or they're nonprofit, etc.).  If she's "good at getting you to talk," you need to get better at not being polite, and not talking.  You don't owe scammers a thing!  Ignore the call, don't engage them, hang up as soon as you recognize the call as a scam call.  I hope by now, you've figured out a few more ways to cope, since your entry was many years ago...  I've gotten better at it, too!   They'll always be one step ahead of our government and they're more aggressive...  so it's up to us to be defensive, just like we learn to be online.
