We received a call from this # also in regards to a rental home.  He wanted money send via western union to a place a Nigeria!  That sent up a red flag.

We're looking to rent a home in Charlotte, NC. We found a home and the supposed owner gave us this number to call. He says work moved him away and his wife is ill. No one can show us the house. He wants us to send him $50 application fee but didn't send us an application. And, like you he wants it sent via Western Union to somewhere in Nigeria. Now we are seriously worried before going any further.

What happened with you guys after finding that out?

caller states they just relocated to New Mexico wanting to renting a house 436 Dunbar Street Jackson Ms 39216, fraud . something isn't right with these people.

I was given this number for a house I was interested in renting in Lexington KY. So many red flags went up when they were emailing me about how they could not show me the house, they could not get anyone to show the house, they did not use a realtor, and they wanted me to send them the application fee before I got the application. Please, anyone seeing this number, do not fall for their scams.

I was given this number in regards to a house for rent on Dundee rd in Homewood,IL I also got the run around about not being able to be shown the house because of him relocating to another state and the only other person available to do so had fallen ill of lung cancer....seriously a try piece of crap..you don't play with people's investments especially when it comes to cars or a place to live. After I requested more info on the house he said just look in through the window...yeah okay [***] DO NOT FALL FOR THIS CRAO!!!

Yeah this is a TOTAL scam. The person using this number is from Nigeria. Here in Portland, OR they listed a house that they asked us to drive by, hoping we wouldn't and would sign away. The house is currently being lived in BY THE OWNER, whom I spoke with when we pulled up to the home. They had no idea what was going because they just bought the house from another realtor. The guy said he couldn't use a realtor due to cost and wanted a nice tenant, that he had relocated from Portland for his job and the only person who could show the unit had just been in for surgery for lung cancer and couldn't show us. That NO ONE else could show us, but he "assured us" that if we just paid the fees, he would have the keys mailed to us. I notified local police and realty companies in the area to warn their tenants. They also listed this property on the ONLY website that doesn't require you to prove you own the property listed.

This is a scam. Reached out due to an ad on a home and here was the latest email I received:

And the Only left alternative to show you around as well is under going to Lungs cancer  problem for 2 month and she is been indisposed at the moment cos she went for operation .

So I will urge to take a drive down the property and look through the window and get back to me so that if you like what you see I can forward you the Rental Application form and the Application fee is $75
