They are doing false claim by telling from CITI CARDS. - Joe Six Pack replies to RaziYour completely right, the sell everything and they call four or five times a day.
- sdfg| 2 repliesThis is in fact a CITI phone number. It is a legitimate phone call.
- E$ replies to sdfgthis is a false number. citibank's number is 877-711-2429. The 505 number called and said a payment on one of my citibank accounts was past due. then they wanted my checking ccount number also from citibank. hello? Supposedly calling from citibank. don't give these people your information!

- Encino| 2 repliesThis is a CITIbank number - my account is overdrawn and it is a legitate number. this website does a great great service. thanks to 800notes.
- Caller: Citibank
- FraudI got this phone call since last week. They called one to two times a day from different people. They alert me that this phone call is monitoring for secure and training purpose. (try to make it like real bank, or record their crime records. ) Then they told me my citi account is overdrawn $69 and ask me how i want to recover the account. I wrote down the person 's name -Jackie, and their phone number 505-797-6239, also 866-757-2686.
After hand up, I checked online and of course all my accounts are fine. Then I feel it's a fraud, I called my opening account agent at Citi Bank Branch to verify. They told me the other customer got this phone call as well. And they already forward the phone number to the fraud department. They said usually citi group agent won't ask ppl's pin or checking account if they called you because your information will be already shown on their screen if your account really overdrawn.
So, please DO NOT give those fake agent any personal information. Always check your credit report once a year.- Caller: Citi
- Call type: Debt collector
- stop calling meHow can I stop them calling me? I have received from this caller ID at least once a day. Does any one know any way to stop them?
- Caller: citi
- High1Annoying calls
- JacobReceived a call from 505-797-6239, female voice recording with a midwestern (plain) American accent. Said something to the effect "We're sorry that we cannot speak to you in person. We are calling with regard to you CitiCard account. Please call us at 866-756-4365." Then it gave a detailed listing of their office hours.
I thought it was phishing, Googled the number, saw it listed here. Called the CitiCard security hotline to report phishing. I used the number listed on Citi's website, not the 866 number from the phone call.
Verdict? IT'S LEGIT. There actually was a problem with one of my accounts (which I presumed to be closed), and the call I received was directly related to the overdraft. I know the person I spoke to was a genuine Citi rep because of the security ID exchange between us--I intentionally gave a false answer to one of my security questions to see if he really had access to the correct answer, then gave the correct one and explained.
I don't LIKE this suspicious-seeming practice.- Caller: CitiCards
- Call type: Unwanted
- B. ChonkoReceiving 4 calls per day on average for last 3 weeks. NO one answers, dead airtime then they hang up. This is Harressment.

- AndyReceiving constant calls, varying each day.
Female voice recording saying "We are sorry we cannot speak to you personally.....__________"

- KI get a call from this 2-3 times a day. No voicemail. I am on the Federal Do Not Call list -- report them and they will get fined!
FYI -- some of these posts might be placed above -- note there is no consensus so you probably have some real life people who are busy and work and have lives and then the guys making these unwanted calls posting here to cause confusion.
All my Citi accounts are just fine -- Citibank and CitiCards -- if it really were Citi they would leave a VM to say call them back at the # on your card to be safe. (Yes I am admitting I have Citibank accounts) All my accounts are passcoded -- phone account, citibank, citicards etc.. so no fear of them phishing to access my accounts.
Surprising I see nothing on Citi's sites about this -- if in fact it is Citi. - KCalls keep coming and coming - mid morning and middle of the evening. I know Citibank would never do this and they would leave a voicemail for sure!
THIS IS FRAUD and SCAM. - Jeannie| 2 repliesI was called TEN times today by this number. The company should be reported to consumer advocacy groups and the phone number should have it's dialing privileges revoked.
