- Old gringo| 6 repliesThe listed company is "Reliant Capital" .. what they are doing is cold calling.. phishing for a name and ssn.. then they look up credit report and see who you might owe and if in arrears. the they contact the creditor and buy if they can the account amount owed at a 15-20% discount and then pursue the debtor as a collection agency. When they "cold call" they pose as home improvement company trying to sell new storm windows.
Filing with DO NOT CALL REGISTRY is to no avail as you know, our Feds do not follow up.. to busy I imagine on coffee breaks.. so these "sons of Bush's' have kept at it for a year now. And I told them to stop too... LOL.
America... where every week is "screw somebody week."- Caller: Reliant Capital

- No Mas| 3 repliesIt's an Albuquerque office of Reliant capital... they call again and again posing as selling window replacements.. what I think they want is a name and ssn... which seems odd. So I think they are trying to do something with it.. illegal or improper, of course.

- the anti scamYeah, they called us after we hung up on them. I told him I hung up because we didn't want to talk to them. Haven't heard back yet. Good policy -- never accept unsolicited calls.

- Jackie replies to Old gringo| 4 repliesThey are not a scam! I worked there, they are just trying to sell windows. Your trippn. Your probably a competitor trying to make them look back! Reliant is official and real. Come down to there show room and look at the windows, carports and coverings to see for yourself!
- Jackie replies to JackieI meant to say look bad..You are trying to make them look bad Old Gringo!
- lYNN replies to No Mas| 2 repliesYou might want to check your facts again. This company isn't possing as anything, They do sell replacement windows and the company name is spelled RELIANT CAPITOL, LLC. If you have issues feel free to look them up on the BBB and see for yourself.
NOTE: if you are going to blast a company, please make sure you know what you are talking about! - Reliant HaterWell, I will say they called me and when I called them back, they argued with me claiming they purchased my number from somewhere and wouldn't say where. When I asked them to stop calling, the operator claimed he would pray for me. I kindly reminded him that I was not the one calling and harassing people at the end of a long work day. I filed a complaint with the do not call list.

- fedup| 1 replyI have asked them repeatedly not to call me, to no avail. They may not be a scam, but they ARE breaking the law by calling people on the Do Not Call list. I'd love to put a restraining order on them or have them charged with harrassment. Do they honestly think I'm going to do business with them when they royally piss me off?

- Fed up 2 replies to fedupI have asked Reliant Capital numerous times to stop calling me....doesn't work. The latest phone number does seem to be 505-348-5318. You all are right, the Do Not Call List doesn't work. I've had it with these people and wish they'd stop with the calls...nearly weekly. To fedup...maybe we can file a class action harrassment suit. Who would do business with them? I know not you or me!
- Annoyed with Reliant replies to lYNNThese people called me a week or so ago and wouldn't get off the phone. I generally try to be polite to caller, but had to hang up on the guy. Then a couple days later they called an elderly parent of a friend and did the same thing. She told the guy No, she's not interested five or six times. Then he told her that he would be there to evaluate her windows at 4:00 the next day!!! When she finally told him that NO he would NOT be there the next day, he said he'd call back in a week, then. This company is trying to PREY ON THE ELDERLY! STAY AWAY from them!
I wouldn't even consider for them for windows no matter what kind of product they're selling. If indeed they're selling a product. - rudy11They call again and again representing themselves as a window replacement firm. They don't take no for an answer. I've told them many times to take my number off their list, to no avail.

- JinxThey continually violate the Do Not Call List. They refuse to remove your number from their calling list. I encourage everyone who is called by this company to file a complaint with the FTC. Do not under any circumstance do business with this company.

- daisyLook guys there are two things I want to say first if you tell the marketer that you are on the DNC they WILL take you out of their system. And two is with the way the economy is some of us are happy to just have a job and we don't mean to be a pest. Oh yea we never ask for the ss number if you are asked for that it is not Reliant calling you. We don't do that. I am a single parent with health issues that keep me from having a job that is more strenuousness then this kind of work. I'm not rude to people I actually take the time to listen. If you let me go thru the items we offer and you have no need or desire for them then there is no reason I should call you back. It waste both our time. I'm sorry you have had some bad experiences with the callers. Dont let a few bad apples ruin your opinion of our company. Thx
- Daisy replies to Old gringoAs I said in the other reply we never ask for your ss. So stop trying to make our company out to be something its not. I have worked for them for almost 5 years. I have friends and family who have done business with this company I to have one of our Patio covers on my house. All we want is to get you a look at our products and maybe help you save some money on your electric bill. We don't charge to come out if you have the products we offer or are on the DNC the marketer will take you out of the system. Have a great weekend
- Daisy replies to Big DogThat is a lie we haven't changed our name. Why do people make it so hard and try to make a company who is trying to get thru this economy thing so hard. I could be sitting on my a... and collecting welfare and you would be complaining about that then to. At least I'm trying to make a living with a honest company. Stop talking bad if you have never done business with us.
- Good GuyThis company seems like they probably have excons working for them! They are rude, pushy and unprofessional! They seem to prey on the elderly which is not wrong but it's not something that is cheesy! DO NOT do business with Reliant Capitol, Century one builders or whatever name they come up with this week!

- ABQI know a guy who worked for this company for a short time. He told me that the office manager is a total [***] who intimidates his employees to get them to "write sales leads" no matter what it takes even if it means targeting and preying on the elderly. And in todays economy with so many out of work I guess some employers think that abuse of employees is an effective business practice! NOT! This company should be out of business. And if they are trying to sell windows why doesn't the company just advertise like all the other window companies?

- Lauren replies to JackieReliant capital windows is a scam. They changed their name from Century One Builders because they avoided lawsuits with a name change.
These people are liars, scam artists and crooks. They are not listed in the Dex yellow pages for Albuquerque. They cold call and use alot of lies and pressure for people to sign on the dotted line.
People, buy from reputable companies in Albuquerque, Do your homework. Don't get taken by businesses like Reliant. I had a friend who was ripped off. She did not do her homework or ask
her friends about referrals. She would have been better off. - Karen| 1 replyExtremely rude and disrespectful salesman has been calling me on a daily basis. When I told him to take me off the list and not to call again, he answers that there isn't a list and he will call back tomorrow and the next day and the next.
