I've been receiving phone calls that claim to be related to Google Plus - from the number 916-8732. They have been calling for about a year, although relatively infrequently. A recorded message asks if I am the business owner of my site (which is not a business and is not commercial, even though it has a dot com address), asking me to press 1 if it is not a business, or press 9 to be removed from the list. The last time I did press 9, yet they called again today. On one recent phone call from this source the individual who was recording sounded actually hostile. I live in NM but don't know where the 9168732 is originating from. The implication seems to be (without being direct or clear) that my site will be removed from the Google search engine listings if I don't cooperate with them.

Ive been receiving calls from solicitors about my "business" ever since I got my number three years ago, apparently it used to belong to a business that went under a few years back. Today this number called me and I told the gentleman on the other end to please delete my number cause it's a personal private line. The guy litterally (not figuratively, not practically, LITTERALLY) yelled at me in a short expletive filled rant about how I wasted his Fing time by not being a business, how I'm a piece of S and should go F off, etcetra, when all I told him (started to tell him, as he cut me off mid sentence) was this wasent a business so please dont call me. I've never had a solicitor talk to me in that way and I thought it was only something you read or hear about from other people. I'm not entirely sure what this company is all about but I know they DO NOT have professional people working there.

Called, no voicemail left for me. Blocked the number.

Asked me to verify my business page on Google+. Did not state the name of the business page, so that's how you know it's a spam call. A real company would say something like "We need you to verify x info for y page", not just "VERIFY YOUR INFO OR YOU'RE SCREWED!" Whoever owns this number is a degenerate hoping to scam people.

this is ggoogle calling to verified your website. can I speak to the business owner.  As soon as I asked their phone number and physical address they hang up.  

This company is a fraud scam.  Don't know why the reports to the FCC result in nothing.

Another call. Several times a day. So now I'm blocking it.

A recording, sounding like it's coming from Google+ telling me to push 1 to stay on the line and talk with a company representative so they can verify I am THE business owner and so I may claim my Google+ page. I thought I had already accomplished this over a year ago, but I pushed 1 and was connected with the operator. This guy tells me I am not found in the map section of sign shops in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Sounds like he's about to tell me how much money it will cost to be placed in the desirable maps section when I asked him if he is WITH Google. He says he is not. I tell him I get calls all the time from people everywhere promising 1st class status on Google. I am already on the 1st page of Google but not at the top of the page. He's trying to keep a professional call demeanor going but he introduces every next step by saying, "I'm going to ask you a question."... "I'm going to give you a price." I told him to cut the salesman crap and tell me how much money he wants. He says, "You're an [***]" and he slams down the phone. Block these creeps AND call the police if you've got the time. I don't.
