Etonstreetnails - 20 May 2008I have been getting strange calls on my cell lately everytime I look on up I end up at this site and see lots of others who get the same call and they all seem like scams. This morning I got a call from 506-222-10470 Yes one to many numbers. This is the only time I didn't end up on this site. When I look up the Area code it gives me a million cities in NB. When I try to look up the number it says San Jose- Spain. Anyone know what this is???? I don't want to call back and get slammed for charges on my cell.

ksiks - 20 May 2008Just got a call from this number on my home phone and since I have unlimited long distance, decided to call it back to find out who it was. The line was busy.

Oregon - 20 May 2008Just received call from the same number also. i didnt answer. I get the same calls on the home line - recording for warranty - i dont have caller id on the home line.. most likely the same thing.

MARYLAND - 21 May 2008Just got a call rom this number claiming they were calling about my warranty formy vehicle and that I needed to extend my warranty. They said I needed to make a pymt today or my warranty would expire and that they have mailed me letters. BSSSSSSSSSS

Lucretia B. - 21 May 2008I just got the same call, with the extra number, and a plus sign in front. Last week, I got a call from +8504331850 about a lower interest rate for an unknown credit card. Same type of call, probably from same entity. Everyone should file a complaint with the FCC and hope that it helps put an end to these: https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/consumer.do

Dianna - 22 May 2008I just got the phone call to my cell from 506-222-10470 yes same here too many numbers. They said it was a call about my credit card and that I could take advantage of lowering my rates. Press 1 to talke to a rep and press 2 to be removed from their system.

But I didn't answer it since I didn't know who was calling and I don't know anyone that lives in that area code. But if anyone could please tell me what it is I would like to know.

They say they are calling about your auto insurance or a warranty or something is about to expire and you need to make an immediate payment...Ok first of all if you don't have a car you should know this is a scam right away. Second just ask what company they're calling from and they'll immediately hang up. Unbelievable how people will really try anything. CM - 20 May 2008I,also, received a call from this number. However I was not able to answer it at the time it was made. I did not recognize the area code or number and chose to do a search. So I will block this number from my call list.

specialkidsmybiz - 21 May 2008I just recieved a call from this number also. When I did a reverse phone look up is said it is from St. George Utah. I answered the call and there was a pre-recorded message saying: "We are calling from card services, if you would like to lower your intrest rates to 6% press 1." I pressed 1 to find out what credit card company was call and it was sent to "operator." She immediately asked me if I wanted to lower my intrest rates. I then asked her what credit card company they were and she hung up on me! This is a scam. Don't talk to them about anything. When I tried to call back I just got a busy signal.

Ohio - 21 May 2008got this call on my cell and it is actually from St. George, New Brunswick, Canada. You are right though it is a scam but from outside the country, which makes it even more dangerous than initially thought.

Beezy - 20 May 2008I answered a call from this number and it is a recording that says that my vehicle is running out of it's warranty and to press one for further info. The first time I just hung up (I have no vehicles with warranties of any kind) but the second time I pressed the one and it just disconnected me. I'm waiting for the sales call now from a salesmans...probably collecting numbers of people who press the one. Will update if I get another call....

celluser - 20 May 2008I also just answered a call from this number, and received the same recording about my auto warranty expiring. I chose option 2, to disconnect, and a recording said I'd be 'removed from the list'... definitely a scam af some sort - perhaps trying to hack into my verizon service?
