Received a call at 1:41 today, unknown caller, I'm afraid that it's a search call so someone can reverse call using my cell #

I just received the call 10 minutes ago, I answered it, pressed one to lower my interest rate on my credit card.  Some young guy came on line and said he was from "card services" and I see you pressed one to lower your interest rate, I said yes, what company are you with, he replied card services.  I said I understand that, but who are you calling on behalf, again the reply was card services.  I said sorry, I do not have a credit card with card services and he stumbled around a bit, then hung up on me.  There are way through the FCC that these calls can be traced, I have worked in communications for over 12 years and I am contacting someone today regarding this.

just got a call from this number on 5/20 at 11:42am.    didn't pick up since i didn't know the # and there was no VM.   googled it and ended up here.    thanks for the info.

I got a call to lower my interest rate, someone answered the phone but when I asked what it was about they hung up on me.

Got the call too on a sprint phone.

I did not answer calls on my cell when I don't know the number.

Got a call at 13:59 CDT for 2:17 minutes on 5/20/08.  I have Nextel and this is my unlisted work phone.  I heard the intro and debated on speaking to anyone, but this number is not linked to any credit card or personal use, so I wanted to know why anyone would be calling it and hit the 1.  The intro said Account Services.  The guy said Card Services and when I asked him what card the lower interest rate was for he told me he wasn't privy to that information, he just knows that I have over $4000 in credit card debt and am eligible for a lower interest rate.  I asked him again who he was with and he asked me if I did have over $4000 in credit card debt.  When I replied no, he hung up on me.

I too received a call from this number a few minutes ago.  Since it had one extra number and indicated it was from New Brunswick, I did not answer.

Today must be a busy day for these people!  Call received at 2:52 Central - I didn't answer and didn't get a voice message.

Got a call about lowering my interest rate on my credit card. When I yelled into the phone that I didn't have a credit card and that the call was a scam, they quickly hung up. Number that appeared on my phone was 506-222-1047 0

5/20/08 1:04pm Pacific Time:  Yeah I just got the same call from this # plus a 0 at the end.  No one left a message and my call ID as well, said "New Brunswick".  

Best advice, like some of you have said, do not answer or call this number back.  There are so many scams, hackers, etc out there today.  Even calling them back to say, "do not call me" is a bad idea.  Do not respond to spam e-mails either.  They can save your contact info (e-mail or phone number) and access things like your full name, home address, etc. which can lead to your birth certificate and social security number  = identity theft!

Answered the call, pressed button to speak with live operator.  When operator answered, I demanded to know how they got my number.  They immediatly hung up.

Recorded message said that they could reduce my credit card interest rate

They been calling my cell phone first few times i pushed one they disconnected this time i got a live  operator i told him i didnt own any credit cards and i was recording the call for my attorney and that i wanted my n umber removed he said it would be removed we will see they are driving me nuts on this warranty and credit card deal says its Heather they were calling from a  number in florida it has SCAM written all over it my cell phone number is non published.

Same message re lowering credit card interest rates.  I pressed 2 against my better judgement and got the message my name will be removed (I doubt it)

I just got my car out the shop and it was under warranty. I just received a call stating that my warranty was about to expire. I pressed one to speak to an operator and they immediately wanted my VIN number and Insurance information. I told him that my insurance had nothing to do with my warranty. I asked what company he is working for and he said Auto Protection Center. I told him that I would call the dealership to discuss this. I figured that it was a scam so I did some research and ended up here.
