I answered my Wireless phone to a recording saying that do to my on time payments on my credit cards, I am eligible for a reduction in my interest to 6.9%. This will be available for a short time and I needed to press "1" if I am interested to speak to a representative. After a "Tony" came on the line he asked, "what is the total of my credit card balances?". Not wanting to give out personal information to unknown people calling me, I said, "I assume you already have access to that information" thinking it was one of my credit card companies on the phone. Apparently not because "Tony" just hung up the phone without saying another word.

Received call on my cell phone 5 minutes ago (5/21/08, 11:25am ET).  Googled the phone number and found this site.  I did not answer the call and so far, have no notice of a voice mail.  I have received calls on my work number (land line w/o caller id) with a recorded message about my vehicle warranty about to expire.  Hmmm, no, I still have 2 years left on it.  I have not talked to a live person.  I plan to avoid answering these calls.

I just had a missed call from this number, no message.

I'm on AT&T and I've got a call from the +50622210470 number with an offer to "lower my Visa or Mastercard interest rates". I pressed 1 to talk with a rep and then I've asked him what is all about and what bank is representing and then the "fishy" part he  reply that is representing "VISA and Mastercard" and not a bank and they will lower my interest to 3.99%. And I said I do not need your offer. He asked if I do have a balance of 3,000 USD or more that I have to pay. I answered NO... and he just said "...then disregard this offer" he hang up.

I rec'd this call today (May 20th, 2008) from 506-222-10470...didn't answer it, but it did say it was from New Brunswick on the caller ID....most definitely scam or phishing....don't give them any info...

No message just called

Wow, this really is a scam...I thought I was getting an international call because I did notice the extra number.  Verizon was of no help when I tried to find out.

Received a call on my cell phone from 506-222-10470 (yes, an additional digit from a normal phone number)on May 21 @ 12:17. It was a message regarding credit cards. I hung up.

I have my cell phone number listed with "Don't Call.Gov" and am reporting this number to them.

I got a call from this number and didn't answer it since I didn't recognize it and it was weird with the extra zero.  They left a message about my warranty.  Didn't call back, but I did register a complaint with the FCC.

I just got a call on my cell phone from this number too - 506-222-10470.  I have internet access so I googled the number and got this site in time so I didn't have to answer the call.  I am listed on the Nation DO NOT CALL list for my cell phone so how is this legal for them?  Where else can I post this complaint?

This number called me too! Had to google it because of it's extra 0. Still no expalnation though. Sounds like a scam to me.

I just got a call on my cell number from 506-222-10470.  I never answer calls from numbers I don't know.  Especially if they're outside my area code.  Someone mentioned "card services" was on the other end of this number.  I have gotten several calls at my work nuber from "card services".  I pay all my bills on time so I knew it wasn't my actual credit card company calling me!  It sounds to me like some company's database was hacked or people's information was sold to some scam company.  Could even be from some random website or service that everyone here subscribes to.  I can't think of anything else.

Just received call from 506-222-10470 (with extra number) on 05-21-08 @ 11:55 a.m. Didn't answer this time, but have in the past. TOTAL SCAM. They say my insurance has been cancelled and I need to renew.

The little cheap bitch who hangs up on everyone is too fat and lazy to gett off of her as* and get a real job, so she scams people while she is eating a box of donuts and hopes people will fall for her BS. Hopefully with enough word being spread around, the fat bitch will have to get a REAL JOB.

Same number (506.222.10470) called my Sprint cell phone at 12:25 pm; did not answer. Sure is nice the scammer is using the same number, so we can identify them.

I have a "missed call" on my cell phone from 50622210470, and the caller did not leave a voicemail message.  From reading the other postings on this site, it sounds like someone is out there trying to pull a scam.

I just received a call from this number. I was suspicious of the number, and didn't answer it. I looked it up here on google.

Just received a call from 506-222-1047, with a + in front of the number and a 0 at then.

A recorded message stated my vehicle warranty on the car I "currently drive" was about to expire within the next 30 days. That I needed to press 1 immediately to prevent a lapse in said warranty. Of course this is telemarketing or scammers. I do have a warranty through the manufacturer which does not expire for some time.

Beware and use caution when speaking with anyone, don't let yourself get ripped off.

I have filed a complaint with donotcall.gov since I am on the National Do Not Call list. However, if this has originated from another country, then I guess I am out of luck. Makes you wonder, if the out of the country telemarketers/scammers use this do not call list for contact info.

yes - i received a phone call from'card services' with phone number 506.222.10470

i called verizon and i suggest everyone call their phone companies to complain.  

the next step is to call your county state's attorney offices.  

THEN the next call should be to the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY to file a formal complaint.  if your phone (s) are not registered with the DNCR, then now is the time to sign on.

Hopefully this will start to get rid of creeps who try and take advantage of people.
