506-224-64920, is the actual number that appeared on my cell phone.  I answered, said "Hello?" twice and they hung up.

I also just received a phone call from this number and looked up the country code. It is originating in Costa Rica. I didn't answer but wanted to see who it may have been. Sounds like a scam to me.

I got a call from this number at 3:26pm here in Oregon.  I answered, but after saying hello a few times to a silent line asked the caller to call back for a better connection.  The caller did so a minute later, but still no sound.  Could this be a scam if I answer?

I got three calls today too.  By any chance do any of you also know a man named Jason Centrone?  Very intelligent, sensitive, musical, a bit of a loner?  I was just wondering if this were him.

I keep receiving calls from this number, usually 2 - 3 in succession.  I have answered once, with no reply from the other end.  From what I am reading here, sounds like some kind of scam.  Going to report it though as I am on the do not call list.

I know Jason Centrone.  However he disappeared about a year ago - went off into the woods with a backpack and no one has seen him since.  We, his friends, are concerned and greatly miss his awesome company.

I know Jason Centrone, he called me from Oregon and said he was shutting his phone off and going away for a while. I asked him where and he told me he wasn't sure....he was just going to start walking in the woods and was not sure where he was going or when he would be back. I thought it was strange I have been worried about him. Anyone heard from him lately. Jason are you out there?

I went to Monroe Community College with an amazing kid named Jason Centrone....as the others said...musical, brilliant, science minded, and seemingly a loner. Our Physiology professor is a friend and asked if I had seen him. I would love to know he is OK.

I am his cousin and we haven't heard from him in over a year, if anyone has please respond.

If it the same Jason he has been arrested in the aggravated murder of 2 men, with no bail in Bend, Oregon.  I met him once, and I didn't see anything about him that would lead me to believe he could do this but obviously I was wrong.  I knew one of the men who was murdered and I have to say Jason deserves life.

I was in a poetry group with Jason over a period of a couple of years. I know him as a good person, supportive, tolerant, never violent or anything of the kind. It isn't obvious to me that you were wrong. An arrest isn't a conviction and I'll wait for a full story to reach any conclusions like that.

I only knew a gentle person named Jason Centrone, and last heard from him about a year and a half ago.  I think it's  a good idea to give him the benefit of the doubt.  Leave the convicting to the courts

Yes, let's leave the convicting to the courts.  The thing I know however, is that Jason is a great guy. In my life or not, I'll always love him as my closest brother.  No matter what.

I too have known Jason since 2005 and have known him to be nothing but kind, gentle and decent. He fell on some hard times after an accident and other issues. I'm going to wait until the trial and not jump to any conclusions. A lot of people care about him and are concerned.

I think he has a decent attorney and I'll be following his case to see what happens. If anyone is thinking about going over to Bend to see him or to attend the trial can you please post here. Maybe we can go together and show our support for our friend.

I do not know Jason, but I have a close friend who has known Jason Centrone since their youth in New York state.  This friend lives in Bend now and is as mystified by the course of events as everyone else.  He remembers Jason as a stellar human being, and is uncertain how to approach this situation.  He has a desire to contact Jason in jail and show his support, but is having a hard time getting any of Jason's Portland friends to respond to his attempts to communicate.  I would be happy to act as a go-between as I am deeply effected by my friend's sadness and confusion.  Please contact me at ataylorrcw@yahoo.com if you have any interest in connecting these two old friends.  thanx!
