Stop calling my number!

They keep calling and no one is there when you answer.  When I call it back it only says to press 1 to be removed from there calling list.  So odd thats the only option. Why wouldn't they say who they were? Why isnt anyone on the phone? Whats the benefit? I hope by pressing 1 I didn't activate some scam.

I have never done this question and reply thing, so I hope this does not increase this number calling me or add others to start calling.  My story is the same exact as your story.  It is calling my cell phone. I have went to the Do Not Call list and added my number.  It will take 30 days to be fully activated, then this number can be in legal trouble for calling---I guess it will if the number can be located.

Just got a call from this number on my home landline saying that it's a "follow-up call" about the topical pain medication I "need" and that it is now available from their pharmacy. I pressed "1" to talk to someone...a woman came on the line and immediately asked who she was speaking with. I blew past her invasive question and asked mine: "So, what is this 'topical pain medication' that you are calling me about?" She said she could arrange delivery of it "free of any cost" via her pharmacy for anyone in my household who might need it. So I asked, "So, you're trying to sell me something you don't even know I need..." and she interrupted, "Oh it's free to you." I replied, "But you make money on this somehow, right?"...she said again "But it's free to you." I laughed and said, "But you're making money in this transaction somehow or you wouldn't be calling people out of the blue, would you?" -- and she hung up. Scam. Blocked.

The do not call list will not stop the calls. If your wireless provider has simultaneous ring you can stop
that call very quickly.

These phone calls are ridiculous.  It's the same company but they change their number and the name on the caller ID is different.  Now it comes up on the caller ID as Customer Care !!!

Yesterday I let it got to voicemail and they didn't leave a message.  Today they said to press one for my prescription approved pain management solution.  I pressed 0 but nothing happened.  I hung up, called back, and nobody answered.  Jerks!

You can thank AARP for all these scam calls.  Big mistake to sign up no matter what age!

I received a call from 507-697-5639 stating it was Erica from Certified Health.  She said I understand you are experiencing pain and discomfort?  I asked her to please give me more information on why she was calling me and how she got my information but then she hung up.  There was a lot of noise in the background indicating it was a busy call center.  I called the number back and only received an automated message to press 1 to be removed from the call list.

I received the same thing you did.  I just blocked them..  Someone sold them my number because my number is blocked...

Not a member of aarp. Don't answer numbers don't know. Blocked now .

Received call from this #; didn't answer, no msg left

I gave blood to the American Red Cross and reluctantly provided a phone number to them.  In the weeks since, I have been swarmed with spam phone calls like this.  

call from "customer care" on called ID  The Do Not Call list won't work and the FCC is no help so its up to you to use Caller  ID to screen your calls and then block them on your phone. The best answer to the problem is just not to answer the phone if you don't recognize the caller or number.

Keeps calling saying it is regarding my pain medication.  Do not take medication.

I'm afraid the the Do Not Call list only works for legitimate business. The scammer and the crooks don't pay any attention to it.

Topical Pain Medication, they keep calling me. I've called back to be removed, I've updated my Do Not Call registry I'm at a loss. Its always a different number that calls.
