An East Indian call center person states that she is calling for an attorney and there is a pending lawsuit. However, they refuse to provide an address, business name, or send a written notice.  I submitted a complaint to the FTC but thought I would check to see if anyone else is being bugged.

Yes I have been bothered at my office and cell phone, telling me her name is Michelle Williams an East Indian saying she is an officer of the Department of Invesigations. And sending someone to arrest me at my office and home. No other information. I called my sherff's department and they told me its illegal to do that.

Some lady named shamika stanford called me but the name of the company is T&M Hughes. That's what appears on my caller id. This is annoying as hell!! I hope they leave me alone.

I just got the same message from Michelle Williams left on my cell phone. When I called the number back I was placed on hold and then disconnected.

THIS IS AN EXTORTION SCAM. Scammers pretend to be law enforcement (police, sheriff, Feds, AG's Office, fake cop agencies with made-up names) and may be using bought/hacked/phished loan application data to extort money or personal info for fictitious crimes.

I got the same message from Michelle Williams, B* name is not Michelle. Barely could understand her. And she was harrassing me for the funds even after she hung up on me and threatened that going to court would ruin my life. that I would lost me job, family and kids. Then I see you guys' post and told her I googled her she hung up. I called her back and she gives me an attitude, I told her to just quit calling my phone now. I hope she's not serious to where I can go to jail. That's crazy. It's also annoying too, I think she was just trying to scam and scare ppl into paying actual debt. UMMMMMM BILL COLLECTORS JAIL THREATS AREN'T GOING TO GET YOU YOUR MONEY FOR DAMN SURE. I WOULDN'T GIVER HER A DIME WITH THAT ACCENT AND FRAUD TACTIC! SCREW THAT B* !!

How do you stop them from calling every 3 minutes??  This is getting annoying!

I got a call fro someone claiming to be Kelly Smith saying I owed a debt of $580 and if I dont pay I would face a law suit for $10,000. She was calling from "attorney's office" and burped down the phone right before she provided a call back number!!! THEY WONT QUIT CALLING!!!! f**k these fraudulent SOB's!!!!

I received 2 phone calls back to back from a "Michelle Williams" who informed me that I was to be arrested at my home tomorrow morning at 11:30am. She said that if I wasn't home that they would be arriving at my place of employment. I then asked her what this was in regards to and she says "oh, well you should have been notified". I answered with "ya think?". She was very rude and I instructed her that what she was doing was illegal and that I haven't been notified of anything at all. I then proceeded to tell her for them to "come and get me then" and hung up in her face.

I received 2 phone calls back to back from a "Michelle Williams" who informed me that I was to be arrested at my home tomorrow morning at 11:30am. She said that if I wasn't home that they would be arriving at my place of employment.She then said the Sheriff WILL come to my place of employment (ummm, I WORK for the State of Michigan, I'd love to see that), then I cut her off and told her that I have a fraud alert on my file because I keep getting harassed by scam artists, and then I told her to go ahead and send the Sheriff my way, but I'll make sure to that I'll call my favorite State Police Officer who is located a few DESKS from my Desk-CLICK...she hung up on me really fast.  O

I received several calls from Kelly Smith an American WANNABE with a strong Indian accent LOL  obviously she  needs voice lessons her accent did not go with her name. Definately a scam the stupid B with an ITCH, could not even make her speech without hesitating in between because of her being prompted as to what to say or she was reading from a card that should have been written in Hindi or something but was in english which she was obviously not her lanhuage. IDIOT!!!!!

i have been getting harrased by the same woman michelle and she said that i will be going to jail if i didnt pay back some money which i never got and im like who are you where are you located and how you find my information and she just hung up on me and i called back and theres alot of people talking in the background and she just said she will be sending the authorties to my house and im like wtf dude who are and how you get my info and she hung up on me again!!

I just received a call at my office stating that if I didn't pay 989.00, they were going to start legal proceedings. Further more I would be arrested Monday at either my mailing address or my place of employment. When I stated that I didn't have that available on hand, they said that the agency was willing to offer one time deal for $489.

I am a receptionist. Got a call from this person who sounded like an irritated overseas telemarketer looking for one of our employees. She wont tell me her name at first nor the purpose of her call. She just said she's from a law firm. Well the person she was looking for is not available, so I said to leave her message with me so I can forward it to him. She gave me her number which is above, then when I asked her name, she was thinking of what to say.She said "ma...umm...Kelly Smith". I asked her the name of the law firm, she could not answer me..she was trying to make up a name! I wanted to curse at her so bad but I am at work :<  So I just hang up.

A michelle williams called me at my old house (i had moved out the week before). My dad told me that she was calling for me. She wouldnt give any other info other than her name. He said her name and number was blocked. He said she soundedvery stern and bold. Harly understandable. It seems as if it is a scam. I ignore blocked numbers, unknown numbers and numbers i dont recognize.

"Michelle" called my house and left a message. Then 4 minutes later called and left the exact same message!  Threatening a lawsuit, arrest ecetera.  Said I needed to call her at her law firm about an outstanding debt, or else.  And that I will be receiving a summons in the mail tomorrow if I don't call her today!  She also called my sons cell phone threatening me and my wife's cell.  I never received a call on my cell.  How do these people get these other numbers?  I have been looking for an old friend for years and could sure use their technique!
