Came home to an *ILLEGAL* Pre-recorded msg on the ans. machine about a 'Free LUXERY CRUISE" and to "press 1 to be connected to a representative and press 2 to be removed' from their list.  I pressed BLOCK on my Call Blocker, instead!  ONE HUNDREDED Percent (100%!) SPAM.  Caller ID said "ATTLEBORO, MA" (Area code is NOT Boston, which has a 617 AC.)  Have gotten a SLEW of calls lately for "Lowered Interest Rates" and "Solar Panels/Alternate Electric Providers" from 508 numbers, many of which are VERY similar to this #:  508-407-9793 and 508-227-4856 and 508-242-2049,  among others.  ALL are CREDIT CARD PHISHING SCAMS, FINANCIAL FRAUD, IDENTITY THEFT SCAMS.

Aren't we 'lucky' to be one of the first to get a call from THIS 'new' SCAM NUMBER?

Oh, and while I was typing this got ANOTHER SPAM CALL from "OUT OF AREA" with NO number, which has been BLOCKED for 10 years or so!

NOTE to 800NOTES:  508 Area code numbers are NOT CAMBRIDGE which is, and ALWAYS HAS BEEN 617.  PLEASE correct this.  I've lived in Massachusetts for 39 years; TRUST me, I know my state Area Codes!

We got a call from this number today at 3:29 pm and didn't answer. The caller ID was ATTLEBORO MA. The end of a voicemail message was left but wasn't enough to identify the caller. We received a telemarketing call from 508-409-0143 with the same caller ID and added it to our call blocker. This new one will also be added.

Please remember these numbers are spoofed so area code and phone number shown by caller ID has nothing to do with where they originate.

Got a call from this number, didn't answer, no message, so I called it back.  Weird, the number is no longer in service!!!  Duh      So annoying!!!!

Just received a call from this number. I have had a number of phantom calls, recently,  from various numbers which I have blocked.  These spammers are able to generate new numbers all the time. Someone has just learned this trick and is trying it out, I would say.

Also got a call, 5/12/16, at 2:25PM, EDT (first time).  I would get a call blocker, but that's like throwing $$$ down a rabbit hole.  What's the point?  I'd be blocking calls, all day.  I just don't answer and save the money.  I've also let friends and family know to call me on my cell, where I can block the spammers.  I've turned down the ringer and voila, no annoyances.  Scammers can call all day.  But, I'm loathe to give up my landline, for some reason.  That'll be the next thing to consider.

Telemarketing. On my cell phone.  Annoying. Pressed 1 to speak to operator to tell them to take me off their phone list, but got hung up on.

Robocall left partial message: "Press 1 for more information, press 2 to be removed from the list."

Spam cruise line call  with caller id showing Attleboro, ma and 508 409 0139, going to block

Caller ID says "Attleboro MA".  They leave no message.

I call back after hours (using *67 to block my number).   I hear the following, "Press 9 to be put on the Do-Not-Call list.  Goodbye."  I never do this as it can actually make things worse.

A spoofed caller ID and the failure to identify themselves on their outgoing message make me strongly suspect that this is a SCAM.
