Got a voicemail from "Dana" saying "Oh, hello, this is Dana calling you back. I think I have the right number but it looks like I got your voicemail. Anyway, I'm calling back with the information you wanted about how you could make $10,000 from home..."
Yeah, I didn't ask for any such information...and no, you are not calling me "back," since I never called you in the first place.
I'd most definitely say this is a spam call.

Wow!  I got the SAME call from Dana and I never called her!  I think if I see that number come up again, I will answer and say, "Hi, this is Dana, I am not calling you back anymore with information that you didn't request about how you can earn $10,000 a month from home!"

Answering a call from a known spammer/scammer is foolhardy. Once your number is tagged as "live" it goes on the open scammers' market. It can get sold to other scammers as well. The wise thing to do is block the number.

Oh, thank-you JoeyDee!  I didn't know that. I thought it would be a funny way to tell her "forget it!"  But with your information, it really does sound like I should NOT answer the call, even if I think it's funny. . .Thanks for the information!

Same as typed above by Mammana. I keep threatening the other numbers with a $1500 fine per call. Then I stop receiving calls from "those" phone numbers. These scammers just keep changing the message and number so it is hard to track.

Ugh...the dumbest phone call ever.  Same as all comments here.  "blah blah earn money from home"

Got a call, didn't answer. No message left. Came in about 11:40A.M. Pacific time.

I don't know why we even bother to be put on the "do not call list". It doesn't seem to help anyway since these telemarketers keep changing their numbers. I don't bother to answer these calls.

This is so much crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am  SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO tired of receiving these kind of call even though all my phones are on a do not call list.

Offering to reduce student loans, credit card rates, etc.however I have none.

received a pre-recorded call at my work number indicating "please listen carefully and in a moment I will give you access to important information for making money . . . bleh bleh bleh".  I'm in customer service so must always answer my phone as I receive calls from all over and can't recognize every caller.  Had just updated my dental insurance profile with my work number so am very suspicious.  Hate telemarketing and scams.

NEVER ANSWER A NUMBER YOU DON'T RECOGNIZE!! With computer ro-bo dialing systems now, as soon as you pick up you number is then tagged as a "live" number and will be sold to thousands of telemarketers. Just let these numbers go! They will NEVER leave a voice mail, and if they do, you will know to block the number or not.
