Claimed to be from the IRS, said they were going to file a lawsuit against us.  When I called the number back it just rang.  All of the IRS numbers are 800#'s.  I'm guessing this is a scam...

I got the same call this morning and # rang and rang when I called back. I intend to just ignore it!!!!!!

Got the same call just now.  They left a voicemail threatening an IRS lawsuit.  Knew it wasn't legit and they are now on my auto reject list.

Got the same call about 20 minutes ago with the same threat. I blocked the caller.

Received v-mail advising the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me.

IRS will not do this. I returned the call on 9.28.2015, a  heavily Asian accented man answered and advised they has sent notification regarding the lawsuit in February and they would have to sue.

Then...the man ask if I knew a song. I said yes and he ask if I would sing this song...Obvious prank call.

Recorded voice message that the IRS was serving a final warning of impending legal action.  I called the number and let it ring for a very long time.  It was finally answered "Hello, IRS, may I help you?" by someone with a very thick accent.  I hung up.  Since I know I have no impending IRS issues, this must be a scam.

A person called from this number stating he was Officer Simon Watson and an audit was completed on my tax returns and I owed 4,800.00. He transferred me to Jeffery Henderson who proceed to tell me that I was going to jail and my driver licenses has been suspended. While speaking to Mr. Henderson I called the IRS from another phone who instructed me to confirm the ID number of the person calling. When Mr. Henderson learned I was speaking directly to the IRS he hung up. I was instructed to file claim with the Treasury Inspector General. I urge  anyone who receive a call from these con artists to report it to the TIG

I got 2 calls this morning, I called back and a person I believed to be indian because of the accent told me I owed money to the IRS, I asked the name of the person who owed money and they just said "you" and I told him if "you" owed money they shouldn't be calling this number because my name isn't "you". Also told this person if this was somehow a real call, then they should have asked for my name and address to verify who I was before disclosing any information, there are PRIVACY LAWS in effect IRS Agent Kevin Smith and I believe I can file a lawsuit against you now. Well ended up telling this person I would check with my local TAX office about any charges I may owe and if they tell me I somehow owe I would make payments through my local office. Then they threatened to have me arrested, I told them to get the police over to my house now because I know my rights. Call got disconnected-- ?? Call dropped???

Thanks for this information. I did forward my 2 phone calls and information to the Treasury Inspector General.

2nd time today this number has called with the pre-recorded message about an impending IRS legal action.  I called back again, someone answered much quicker and the accent wasn't as bad.  When I told him to stop calling me or I would be taking legal action he got very nasty.

These scammers are busy today.  They called here twice today leaving the same message about lawsuits. LOL.  Our local police department has warned us about these scams, not just with the IRS scam, but callers pretending to be the police.  Anyway, since it was the same number calling both times, I just blocked the number.

Just returned the call... Claims IRS is suing for taxes between 08-13 for $3000+ to be pad within 60 to 90 mins, otherwise all bank and property would be seized. Told him sure to see if he was going to take $$... Said he would need to transfer me to a manager, have credit card or availability to transfer funds... And if I didn't pay an IRS agent would be at my home within two hours to arrest me.... Can't wait to meet them..

Did not return call as I am sure I would have received letter first and if read it would be from where I already filed.

Automated female voice saying the irs was going to sue me

found on ans.mach.9/29/15. called the no. And got no ans. On caller ID this no. prefix appeared : Spokane 1509-228-3481

When I called the "so called IRS", which by the way-- THEY WILL NOT CALL YOUR HOME. THE IRS DOES ALL COMMUNICATIONS BY MAIL LETTER; the first guy (Officer Kevin Smith) with an Arab accent gave me some pitch about owing back taxes from 2008-2013. When he told me I could pay the balance or go to jail, I laughed and he hung up. I called back and another guy (Jack Brown, but later said his name was Kevin Brown- again with an Arab accent) gave me the same sales pitch word for word, but this time the amount was higher. When I questioned him about the difference he hung up. I called back and got different person with an Arab accent, this guy told me his name was, yes, Vinn Diesel. I laughed and asked him if that was the best he could come up with. Again, same sales pitch about going to jail for taxes and I needed to go to a Walmart. That is all he would tell me..just go to a Walmart. This went on a few more times before they realized I was the same guy calling them over and over and over. Now they won't take my calls...

Thank you so much for this, I recently got a call from these people today and I was worried about it. Whoever these people are need to be caught and jailed, how dare they worry people like that..
