- Marilyn| 1 replyReceived a call from this number today. It might be a scam, because the message left appeared to purposely "garble" the name of a company that supposedly is about to file a lawsuit. No one is about to sue me.
- DanielThis woman called twice today.
The company name was not clear (intentionally?). There are not any cases against me...It's a scam.- Caller: ??????????
- JenniferWoman called and left message that I was being sued by the Internal Revenue Service that I needed to call this number immediately. When I called a man claimed to be with the Internal Revenue Service and gave me badge number 19462. Claimed that I was going to be arrested, my bank accounts frozen, my assets seized because of an audit the allegedly did and served me with notice about. He said there was a warrant for my arrest. But he could not prove that he had served me with anything. I kept asking for proof or documentation and he got angry with me and raised his voice and called me a liar. He told me my call was recorded and not to lie to the IRS. He told me if I didn't want to handle this in court, then I needed to discuss settlement with him today. When I suggested that I was going to go down to the local IRS office to get a copy of my file, he told me I was a criminal and I would arrested on the spot for fraud. I told him I would take my chances and contact my local IRS and sheriff's department to verify his allegations and that I had his number and would call him back if I needed to. You can't call your local IRS office. They don't accept incoming calls but I did call my local Sheriff's office which told me this was fraud and to report them. Crazy. He was very bold and almost aggressive. I never gave him ANY personal information although he had my name address and husband's name. I'm sure it was caller ID.

- VAYI received 2 calls with a woman's recorded voice saying the IRS was suing me and to call about this litigation. I know that i do not owe anything to the IRS or anybody else for that matter. When I tried to call there was no answer and no way to leave a message. I assumed this was a scam and I guess I was right.
- Caller: IRS
- JaneI also received a call saying the IRS was giving one last notice before being sued. Hogwash.
- SteveA voice mail was left on my phone that the IRS was going to sue me if I didn't call back. I can't believe people fall for these pranks.

- Marilyn replies to MarilynMy name is also Marilyn. It appears this scam company is working with all Marilyn's. Something should be done about this scam company. Elderly people might give out information on themselves when they call back the number they are given to call. Let the law enforcement in your area know about these calls. If they keep calling file complaints for harassment. This scam should not have you spend your time and expense of your telephone for their use. All the technology we have today it boggles me to know why these callers can't be caught and arrested for harassment, theft, impersonating an IRS agent and most of all for just being everything unlawful.
- DanielleReceived a voice mail saying we are being sued by the IRS...who falls for this crap?

If you receive a call from this number, do not answer or call them back! (509) 288-4652 from Washington. It is intended to scare the hell out of you but it is ABSOLUTELY a scam!!!! FYI: The IRS only contact you by mail
I received an automated message that I was being sued by the Internal Revenue Service and that I needed to call this number immediately. When I called a middle eastern man (clue number one) named Officer Leo Hernandez (clue number two... never heard of a middle easterner with a Hispanic name) badge number 7018 claimed to be with the Internal Revenue Service. "Leo" claimed that I was going to be arrested, my bank accounts frozen, my assets seized because of an audit they allegedly did and found that I miss filed my taxes between the years 2008 and 2013. He claimed they served me with notices about the amount I owe (almost $3,000) and because I did not respond there was a warrant for my arrest. He then asked me if I would like to resolve the issue in or out of the court house. Never having received such notices I requested proof. He then began to get angry raising his voice saying that I am a liar and that by asking him such questions I am denying the charges. He then stated that this was my last chance to pay this fee and if I did not agree to pay or hung up an officer will be at my door (he recited my address) within one hour with papers and to take me and my wife (he recited her name) to jail. I then told him that I would welcome my local Sheriff to come to my door for two reasons. One I would like to see this paperwork and two, I know all the Sheriffs in my small town. Oh this really made him mad. He started yelling at me and tried to express how serious he was that that this is a serious mater and to expect a sheriff at my door then said good bye. I have to give him credit for keeping in caricature all the way until he hung up.- Caller: IRS

- Bobbi replies to LisaI too got a call from 509-288-4652, but the message left on my voicemail was incomplete. Just asked me to call the number right away. I called and spoke with "Officer Jack Watson of the IRS". However it took me several requests to actually understand him due to the excessive noise in the background and his thick accent (India?, Pakistan?, Mid-East?) When I asked "Officer Watson" for his IRS ID #, he hung up. When I called back, first I got a busy signal, then it rang without answer until it stopped. Aside from the obvious that this is a scam, I mean really? "Jack Watson"?? At least pick a typical name that fits your accent; and don't just hang-up. Do thinking people really fall for this??
- phone BSBS caller and left a pre-recorded voicemail msg saying the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. Ha! The IRS will send you a CERTIFIED LETTER in the mail if you're in deep doo doo with them. This is a scam, don't answer or call them back. More scams and BS that should be punishable by beating with a phonebook. I saved the msg and forwarded it with the info to my local phone company and to the FCC on their website. It probably won't help but who knows. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER! Have a most wonderful day people!
