So evidently this is the same IRS SCAM group.  It was a female this time that gave her name as "Leah" . . . well, that was the 2nd name she gave.  I couldn't understand the first name she gave so she changed it.  I asked to speak with her supervisor and was "transferred" to "Jennifer".  She was ready, complete with a "badge number".  I'm posting the numbers on Facebook with the hope that everyone in the country calls these [***] back.  This is just annoying.

It was a female, she said she was from IRS and if I did not call back in X number of hours  they would file a suit against me.  The call  ID said Spokane, Washington.   There was a story awhile back on the news in FL re IRS calls targeting seniors.

Just received the same call.  Computer generated voice -- "The reason of this call is to inform you that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you" ... etc.  Call this number to get more information.  Outright SPAM caller, phishing to get you to call them back and tell these unknown people more about yourself for their files....

Yes, I received the same voice-activated message about 2 hrs ago; IRS is filing a suit against you because they tried to contact you.  So again, they are filing a suit for????????  Now that's a BIG LIE!  The IRS don't even function in this way. Baaaahaaa! Wouldn't theses callers just hit the floor with embarrassment if I told them I work at the IRS???? Hummmm.

They called twice. Automated message. Wanting me to call back. Telling me the IRS had a lawsuit against me. Scared my poor wife to death. I told her that they were just a bunch of crooks and terrible people pulling a scam.  I hate people who do things like this. They should be punished

Hi.  I called the number referred to me by a Verizon Operator, which then reported that until you contact a claim with your police department, to get the info and call them back.   In my case I did and afterwards this was the number I called from which the operator referred me:  1-800-518-5507.  Although this representative was extremely defensive, and was speaking over instead of listening to the full message I played back from my landline so that we can be both clear on the harassment which hurt my nerves both times, this representative gave me a number to a federal "Treasurer Inspector" which he said by law he is required to give me the number to report this.  When I asked "Treasurer Inspector of what?  of what company?  the U.S. Federal Government? He said "I already told you", and hung up.  In short, this is all extremely upsetting, and I am finding it disturbing that Verizon cannot follow up professionally and courteously with the harassors and not the phone answerers or phone owners who are subjected to this negligence.

I just got a message today. They want me to call back. Telling me the IRS had a lawsuit against me. I called them back and asked if they are IRS. The lady said yes, however, when I asked her name and ID then she hung up.

This group has been pestering me for over a year.  They've used (509) 315-2890, (202) 751-2495, (888) 398-7206, (415) 413-3497 at various times over the year.  When the calls started, it was always an Hispanic male recorded message.  In the last half-year they've switched ot a female robo-voice.  At any rate, on one of the first times they called, I talked with their "representative" who called himself Royking - not realizing that the name is actually two words.  They had Indian or Pakistani accents but the message was always the same - we'll file suit and we'll arrest you if you don't go to your savings and draw out X amount of money and take it to some drop off place.  Oh and they want you to stay on the phone the whole time your going through the money exchange - and never ever talk to anyone or they'll arrest you anyway.  At any rate, I fairly pissed off the "representative" when I called him a fraud after keeping him on the phone for 20 minutes.  I think he thought he had a "live one."  My guess is that he put me on the recall list.  It's hard to keep putting blocks on numbers when they keep changing. Oh, and its vary telling that the female robo-voice called the agency the Internal Revenue Services.  There's no "s" on the end - there's only one Internal Revenue Service.  At least they no longer tag on a "Have a nice day," to the end of their robo-message.

    1. There is no such thing as "Internal Revenue Services".  The plural on Service clearly shows that this is a farce.
    2. We got the exact same call from both this number and 202-580-8379 on Friday and Saturday, both on our home number and my wife's cell number.
    3. I am 99.99% sure this is a fraud.  I do plan to call the IRS Monday to confirm.  (You may want to do the same).  If I can get through, I'll post an update back here.

The robo call was a woman's voice indicating there is a lawsuit against us by the IRS pending our call back to the published number. Rather persistent with a second and final threat of legal action by the IRS if we ignored the first call. Turning 61 must bring out all sorts of scammers as this comes on the heels of an obvious African accented chap who demanded money to avoid similar problems.
