Computer generated voice telling me that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against.   SCAM!

Called the number back 12 to 15 times with only a busy signal.  DecidedSaid IRS to try one more time and someone answered and stated he was with the IRS. Spoke very bad English. I told him I did not understand a word he said and he hung up.

Damn, I've been waiting to finally get one of these calls.  I thought the IRS (snick, snick) didn't love me any more.
How stupid are these people?
If anyone falls for this, they deserve to be scammed.
The IRS will never contact you by phone. If there is an issue, you will get an official letter explaining the area of concern.

Got this call on 10/15/2015. An automated voice stated that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against us. For what I do not know. I tried calling the number at least 6 times and received only a busy signal. Figured something was up, so I Googled the phone number that they left. This is where it lead me. Obviously some kind of scam

Received phone call from this number on my cell phone while at work.  Let it go to voicemail.  Msg was a computerized voice (female) who left the phone number to call - but the rest of the message wasn't captured.  I looked up the phone number before calling back and saw the posts about the scam, so I was prepared when I called back.  When I called back I got "Officer Jackson of the Internal Revenue Service" - or rather a man with an obvious Indian accent who claimed to be such.  He wanted to know what number I received the message on - I told him they called my place of business (I sure wasn't going to give him my cell phone number again) - and then he said he needed the number.  I told him I needed his name - he said again he was "Officer Jackson".  I asked what state he was located in...he said Washington, DC.  I told him I smell B**S*** and I'll be turning in this number as a scam.  He said "Good luck.  You'll never catch me." and then continued to rant at me as I hung up the phone.

This number called my 12 years daughter's cellphone and said the same as all the other comments.  SCAM!

Ditto.  Did get thru, but foreign-speaking person was giggling, then pause, then more giggling, then longer pause, then hung up.  Called back, same person.  Could not understand anything she said twice.  Then she hung up again.  Sensing something bogus, goggled this number and found these comments.  Besides the fact that I checked, and there is no validity to this claim.  SCAM, SCAM, SCAM.

Got the phone call today 10/15.  Sorry scam!

Report these IRS scams to www.tigta.gov so that cumulatively the government will see this as a priority

Oh no, the IRS found me.  What am I going to do? Nooooo.... Quick get me a lawyer, I'm so screwed.  Oops, no, just some f-wit scamming again, false alarm.

Same thing happened to me. I called back a second time and it was a foreign female that I couldn't understand as well. She did however know my first and last name and my phone # which is quite scary. I told her to call me back when I can speak to someone who speaks better english...and hung up.
