Same .. IRS spam call

Phony IRS scam. Really weird sounding computer generated voice telling us the IRS is filing a lawsuit for unpaid taxes. The IRS does not call. Don't be fooled by these jokers.

Spam call from IRS - did not answer.  IRS does not call they send notices through the mail.  These people must not know their scams are all over the internet.

Bogus call

Robo Call stated IRS was suing me, to call number back. I did so, and was patched through to a guy in India or Pakistan, or someone with an accent from there. I was at my computer and looked the number up and said "I was told to call this number because the IRS is suing me, but when I look this number up on Google it does not show IRS anything and I have received no documents from the IRS?"

His reply was immediate, "Then don't call me, don't ever call this number again..." and hung up on me.

Got 2 calls a few minutes apart from these scammers. Was called by them back in April or May with a 206 area code. I had already looked that area code up and knew it was Washington state, but asked where they were calling from. The woman said Washington, Washington, DC. This is the IRS. I pretended to go along with their scam and was told I could pay my "debt" with a prepaid Visa card. I will report to the FBI as suggested by a poster above.

I just received a call from a man. Sounds like hes from india. He said all my bank accounts, drivers license and anything else i have under my name would be canceled immediately. He said I was being sued by the IRS for 5,400. I told him I never received anything in the mail. He said I had received plenty of notices, even someone coming to my door step to let me know about this. I never did, so I asked him the address and he gave me an address from 4 years ago. Makes no sense. If it was really coming from the IRS and my taxes. Wouldn't they have the most recent address for me? When I started asking questions he hung up on me

Received 2 phone calls from 509-346-6041, posing as IRS, and need to call back to avoid tax audit and fines.

Just got my third call today; called back and talked to a man with an Indian-type accent. Haven't heard from these thieves since the spring, now 3 times today. I have filed a complaint with the FBI via the link above, but if they are operating offshore, probably not much they can do.

I received several calls from this number. I returned the call and spoke with "IRS Officer Zack Parker" (with a heavy foreign accent) saying I owed the IRS $4500 and that there was a warrent out for my arrest.  I informed him if that's the case, I'd go to the State Trooper that lives next door and turn myself in. Ha! He told me that I filed "fraudulent" tax returns and I told him the only fraud was him and what he was doing.  Unfortunately, they've called back two more times.

Received several calls from this number A computerized (Next Up) voice supposely from the IRS. Left messages asking to call back.

Received a phishing / spam robo-call from this number claiming to be the Internal Revenue Service (note: they actually say Internal Revenue Services).  They say that the IRS is filing suit against me and that I should call this number 509-346-6041.

I knew this was a scam but I returned call and spoke to a person who spoke in thick accent (Indian/Pakistani?).  I started to ask questions and they promptly hung up on me.

Using reverse phone number lookup, this number was found to be in Othello, Washington and is associated with CenturyTel of Washington doing business as Centurylink.  I called Centurylink and they told me that this activity has been reported to the authorities and is being investigated.  Unfortunately they are unable to cut off service to this number without legal authorization to do so.

So, in meantime, to not get fall for this trap.  Ignore the call (I have blocked the number on my phone now) and get on with your life.

I had 4 calls from this number yesterday - all computer generated voice saying the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me.

The caller claimed that IRS has a law suite against me. They call me 4 times today on my cell phone.
