IRS Scam Robo call.

Robo call from a scam artist at 7 AM. something about some company suing me plus something about the IRS and asking me to return the call. How can we throttle them?

You've GOT to be kidding me with this crap...   this automated message is SO bad saying that..." ... the I R S.."  is suing me.. blah blah...   fricking scammers.   I'm tired of em freaking people out.   I don't fall for it for a SECOND, but my Mom got this call and called me freaking out about it.  Thankfully, she called me.   I then took her to the IRS web site where it says straight up that they'll NEVER call , let alone call and ask for money or threaten you:   http://www.irs.gov/uac/Newsroom/IRS-Repeats-Warning-about-Phone-Scams

I'm adding them to our blocked list.   Call your phone company and see how you can block phone numbers.   She uses TWC phone system and they have a PC app you leave running and it captures phone numbers for you, and you can block with it called VoiceZone.   Even without it you can block numbers.

Good luck... it's a crazy world out there kids!  ;-)

I received and automated call say the IRS was suing me and to contact them at 509-346-6059

Just let the IRS sue me, ain't had a job for 6 yrs LOL. How can anyone fall for these obviously phony robo calls.

My mom got a message too saying she was being sued by the IRS and to call 509-346-6059, I looked up the number and got the page. I knew it was total BS, scam for sure

This number called a robo call that the IRS is suing us you can tell it's a BS call.I just feel bad for the elderly not knowing this is not real. Please tell friends and family not to call it back they get your name from caller ID then they have your name.

I called the number out of curiosity to see what they would say.  A man with a very thick accent answered claiming he was from the IRS and that there was a lawsuit filed against me because I had not paid the appropriate amount of taxes since 2007.  He said I owed approximately $5,000 and asked if I like would to settle this outside of the IRS.  I told him that I had not received any prior communications through the mail - he said the notice was sent and this was my last chance to pay before they revoked my drivers license, garnished my wages or the police arrested me.  I asked him to resend the documentation.  He said he wouldn't do that.  I said if there were any errors on my filings, I would welcome an audit.  He said he was going to contact the local police.  I said I would take my chances.

To me, it was very obvious that this was fake from the start - but my mother has been scammed on at least 2 occasions because these people scare the cr@p out of trusting individuals.  Different scams, same "install fear, pray on the uninformed" approach.  There is a special place in hell for these people.

I received a voicemail message from this number today. The message appeared to be truncated, and mine didn't mention the IRS, but said "...filing a lawsuit against you." and that I needed to call this number for more information. First of all, if any person or company is actually going to file a lawsuit against you, you'll get served in some official manner and it will NOT be by telephone. I hope that no one actually falls for this.

Received a call from this number stating that he was from IRS....not the IRS.....just IRS, first strike. Then that caller stated that IRS was filing a lawsuit against me, I've never been in trouble with the IRS but I'm pretty sure that they levy fines and lock down your accounts.....strike two. Lastly since it was a recording I called the number back and did my best to sound worried. The goat eater on the other end asked for my phone number which I provided then he asked for my first and last name. I said you called me on this number, why don't you tell me my name.......Click....strike three! The little goat humper hung up on my....I had so much more to say! I was gonna really screw with him. I figured the more time I had him on the line the less chance he could screw some little old lady over!

Just received an auto message call that the IRS was suing me and to call.
I figured it was a scam but these people are evil.  My mother would have believed them and called back. Some people could have a heart attack upon hearing this recording.

Yes.  Scam not even an American when you talk to one of them told me I was gonna be taken from my home that a warrant will be issued. I told her that there would be a fight if someone came to take me from my kids and that I would come after her needless to say she hung up on me..    Scam... Scam...

Nothing can be done to them.  They are located in India and Pakistan and as such beyond the reach of US law. Call blocker might be of some help.  Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd.  Or where there is no caller ID.

This person could not speak English, and wanted me to send them 7,00.00

Add me to the list. Caller ID showed Othello,wa. With same no. That they say call back. If our gov. Can listen in anytime, why can't they stop this crap.

The same scam, different number!! I actually called them back sounded very worried, and some scamster with Indian accent ( I guess, IRS hires MANY Indians these days) told be I have to send immediate wire payment to avoid prosecution! I am actually fluent in Hindi and Bengali, so I asked this Babu ( in Hindi) about weather in Mumbai! He choked on his words and hang up. This trash make bad names of all hardworking Indians worldwide. Pox on them all!

Funny how they think a Federal Agency can revoke your State issued driver's license!!!!
